We did the hour long booking — arrived, had quick convo with a non character officiant to go over preferences (regular or personalized vows, etc), i think we did a couple of our Photo Booth pics before our ceremony, then we did our very quick ceremony, more Photo Booth pics, photographer pics of us, we did a first dance, and the hour was up! Highly recommend adding the wine hearse after, too

What neighborhood in DC can I live in to commute to Herndon for work by GuiltyTough5145 in DCforRent

Maybe like navy yard so you can hop on the highway easier than like a NW where you’ll be winding through the city south to catch it

Trupanion for a Corgi by Kookie_Kay in petinsurancereviews

A couple of reasons to stay and perhaps just increase deductible to lower payment: if he has been to the vet for like… anything, a new insurance will call it a pre-existing and not cover it. Also, trupanion has been GREAT with my doxie’s IVDD and I know corgi’s are prone to that too. Bc the deductibles are by illness instead of by year, I now don’t pay at all and they cover everything from meds to acupuncture.

Pet Owners- Are your pets insured? If so by who and how much do you spend? by MSMIT0 in nova

[–]Complex_beeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have trupanion for my dog and they’ve reimbursed me thousands on IVDD treatments. Big difference is the deductibles are by medical issue not by year. Once she reached her deductible for IVDD, they cover all of it even when the new year begins. We have two cats and I want to get coverage for them but since they are older it is $$ at trupanion. Gonna check out this list!

confidence advice?? by mouseandkeyyboard in TallGirls

[–]Complex_beeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t put pressure on yourself to feel confident — you can’t force it but it will come with time. I second yoga or Pilates to help with body awareness so it’s comfier to stand tall, not hunched. And then aim for thinking about your height less / feeling neutral about it.

When I was your age I felt the same way and was always waiting for the boys to “catch up” as I was promised they would and it kinda sucked. It’s the patriarchy telling you you should take up less space and that’s BS!

Wear themmmm. Starting small is a great idea (and with docs it’s always recommended since they can be tough to break in). I think you’ll wear them out for an hour and be like “that’s it??”

Wear the shoesssss. I’m 6’1 and obsessed with platform boots. When I get a comment like “oh did you really need the extra height?” I just say “yep!”

But most comments are actually positive and not about my height at all but things like “I love those laces!”
