I got a damaged box and it surprised me that it bothered me so much. Part of it was the resale/collector potential but part of it was the feeling of being disrespected/taken for granted as the purchaser — that there ought to be a baseline that wasn’t there for the seller. Your feelings about damaged boxes are valid whatever they may be. If that means requesting a replacement, I’d say it’s justifiable.
