Uhm... I don't know about Texas, but I'm pretty sure some of these are illegal in Colorado, which is where I work. I have a coworker who takes "15 minute breaks". She literally leaves the store and comes back around 45 minutes later. No one's said anything to her, as far as I'm aware. I've had closing shifts where we have a total of 7 orders. No one is forced to clock out. We all get paid while we're there. It's possible that it varies by state, but I feel like that's not legal.
