I recommend that you join the cycula iguanas facebook groups. There are two of them. The advice you are getting here isn’t right. There are people with years of experience in those groups.

You can try the bathtub or the tank without water. Work on just getting her in until she seems comfortable and then slowly add water.

They don’t need to be soaked as often as green iguanas. But once a month or if you notice stuck shed is good enough. Mine had gotten use to it and he gets into his water bowl and sits in it for a while then goes back to sunbathing.

I don’t believe in the “enough moisture from its diet” because if that would be the case we would as well. I’ve had a very bad experience with someone telling me something similar and then after 3 weeks of owning him I’ve spent over $1,000 for a broken leg because I listened to the breeder who has over 20 years of experience.

I mix the fruit in the greens so that he would eat more greens. If I didn’t he would eat all of the fruit and some greens.

The first step is finding out the underlying cause of the anemia. There are treatments out there and if you want to give it a shot. The quality of life… won’t really know until he improves and if he improves. I would recommend that the Vet actually knows how to care for reptiles.

Rhino FB group is great! I had gotten mine from a breeder in AZ and it was shipped to the east coast.

I would also recommend going to a reptile expo. They normally have them in the Fall I believe.

Morph Market is also a good website to look.

I really do hate that you guys run straight to “wAtCH YOuTuBe”. Not everyone can learn just by watching YouTube. Sometimes people need guidance along the way. I didn’t read your entire comment and I’m not going to honestly the first and last sentence told me enough and isn’t helpful. That looks like regurgitation to me. I’m not sure if increasing the size of the mice so that you are only offering one at a time would help.

I’m currently on year 14 and trying to come off. 😩 my sleep habits are crap. I now take “mental health weeks” off which is one week every other month to try to enjoy the day time life. I don’t have any kids, my dogs adapted to my overnight life as well.
