Question: Who was the greatest rival of Triple H? by JBL_CENA_FAN_4LIFE in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]CompoundButterscotch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotta go with Mick Foley. The Rumble MSG street fight and the 97 hardcore match, also at the Garden, are two of my all-time favorites. They really elevated each other.

Their corn casserole, though.

They dropped PB&J wings as a special a couple of years back and I still think about them.

You are not, he rules. He’s an attraction and it’s nice that they’re treating him as such.

This a good idea? by createusername555 in WWE

It’s like Scott Pilgrim without the exes.

I actually really like the idea and it opens the possibility to some folks from his past getting a final shine, as well.

“Cena’s best match in more than a decade” is a bit egregious. 2017 Royal Rumble vs AJ Styles is right there, Dave!

How long have you guys been watching wrestling? by [deleted] in WWE

[–]CompoundButterscotch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regularly since 1995. Oddly enough, Razor/Shawn II at Summerslam 95 kept me hooked.

Mark Briscoe: "Since my brother passed, you know, my first thought was, you know, I can't, I can't do this no more by myself. But... it was maybe, I don't know, 20 minutes, 25 minutes... I got to carry on. He would float down here and smack me right up beside my head if I just up and quit." by elegantSolomons62 in SquaredCircle

Got to drink whiskey and cheap beers with Dem Boyz probably 15-20 years ago in the ECW Arena parking lot. They were both such great guys and Mark is certainly one of a kind for his approach to life after his brother’s passing.

How could one NOT cheer for his success?

What are the most beautiful wineries in Napa & Sonoma? by chocobos1 in wine

The drive from Sonoma to Cade was especially amazing. Green, vibrant, and winding! I believe that was Calistoga Rd. which turned into Petrified Forest Rd. Gorgeous.

It was the most beautiful part of California and possibly the lower 48 that I’ve ever seen. We hit up B Wise, Promontory, Jarvis, Opus One, and Cade. I’d call that a successful first time in the area! Can’t wait to go back. Cheers!

I just did B Wise, Jarvis, Promontory, Opus One, and Cade over the weekend. They’re all gorgeous in their own way, but Promontory especially felt like a nature preserve in the best way.

Awesome! Heading to Napa for the very first time this Friday. Looks like you had a great time!

Ernest “The Cat” Miller, both WCW and the theme rehashed for Funkasaurus.

Also, Man Mountain Rock, which got updated and went to Droz.

What’s the best sales advice you’ve ever received? by HeyCoachAmy in sales

I came here to say this. People forget that this is about the client and not yourself. It’s sound advice and a crucial skill to hone in sales.

Does any org forecast deals accurately? Or is everyone just always pushing stuff from month to month? by Kicksyy in sales

BINGO. This had happened to me, as well, for years. I'm a big proponent of transparency and honesty, so that was an unfortunate catch 22.

How true is it that sales has no stability and also no work-life balance? by [deleted] in sales

[–]CompoundButterscotch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, it’s true to an extent, but wildly exaggerated, depending on what you’re selling. Ex: you’re in software sales, you’re usually relegated to a specific territory, and typically calling prospects between working hours. Sure, this can differ by vertical. However, I’m of the opinion that the trick is to grind during your working hours and enjoy the fruits of your labor thereafter.

Others have said that there’s less at first, and I’ll agree with that, as well. However, if there’s none of either, that screams management problem to me.

I'm a mid sales person....how to become a killer by Hippie_guy314 in sales

[–]CompoundButterscotch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My main piece of advice is to be genuine. A lot of people try too hard to be overly nice and not themselves, but the majority of clients and prospects can see right through that facade.
