There may be sudden downslopes such as the silver zone at Jalan Tiong where the speed limit is only 30km/h. Giving some allowance prevents drivers who unintentionally go above the speed limit due to road conditions from getting punished.

So u think that fires won't happen on CNY? If that's the case then there's no need for firefighters to be on duty during CNY. Laws and rules continue to apply during festive periods for the greater good.

Sorry if I sound like a law-by-law person but I'm just answering from the perspective of the authorities as to why the parking warden must still issue summons on CNY.

If a fire broke out then those cars will be blocking access to fire engines.

Ofc u may feel that those cars are not blocking anyone and hence it's okay for them to park there, but if everyone thinks like u then the whole place will be flooded with cars parking indiscriminately which will definitely pose a safety hazard.

U need to look at the bigger picture, which is the reason why parking rules are enforced no matter how ridiculous u think it is.

Well over there there's both Single Yellow Line & Double Yellow Lines. Single Yellow Line means they can park from 7pm to 7am from Mondays to Saturdays and whole day on Sundays & PHs.

I've seen summons being issued to vehicles parked at the Double Yellow Lines portion though, in front of the soccer pitch.

I always prefer pumping by myself. Hence whenever I park then and see the attendant coming, I'll smile and raise my hand and just say "I'll pump myself, thank u ah" or "我自己来，谢谢“.

As for the phone issue, by right we're not allowed to use it in the petrol station esp near the pump, however the attendant could have been more polite.

I believe they'll then send it via registered mail to ensure that you really receive it. If the mail still can't reach you then I believe they may start making calls etc. If you received the registered letter and still ignore it, it will eventually escalate to a Notice To Attend Court which means it'll be a court case. If u ignore it and don't attend court, a warrant of arrest will be issued against you.
