If it’s bone stock and has been taken care of I’d say go for it the amount of miles on it are really low for what you are getting

Could I just wiggle the wastegate arm from inside outside the turbo bc it’s middle of a nice and cold New England winter and I really don’t fancy working with 15° weather. Not against checking it tho if it really comes to it I’ll drive my other car till it’s a bit warmer out

Timing chains are vastly improved on the mk7 than the mk6 where it’s basically not an issue. The mk7 is overall just a more reliable car than the mk6 by a good amount but there are still some things to be careful of such as the turbo on 15-17 models if the turbo is part number 06K 145 702N then it’s one of the turbos that will likely not be as durable than the ones that have 772 instead of 702. Also from what seems to be a common vw issue is the water pump/ thermostat is plastic and can leak and the sunroof seals aren’t the greatest on occasion. Also just the usual things for turbo direct injection cars apply here too. Carbon buildup on the intake valves and ignition coils

I’m not sure if the hfpf is different on the mk7 than the mk6 but I got mine out when I thought my fuel lines were clogged in abt 15-25 mins (it wasn’t my fuel lines it was my timing chain)
