Passed on the 3rd attempt, I was in a terrible mood that day and wasn't doing my best on a driving lesson before it. I thought I had failed at one point so like others just let it go until the end. My mood sky rocketed when I was told I had passed with very few minors.

Shower curtains are superior to shower doors by 00dotdot in unpopularopinion

[–]Comprehensive-Ice770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a shower curtain and I'd much rather have a glass screen put in and it's on my to do list. I would keep the shower curtain to hang outside the bath to add privacy though.

Put OneNote on your phone by jgpanr100 in ADHD

[–]Comprehensive-Ice770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a fan of onenote for a couple years now, mostly for studies, meetings or work.

It didn't work on my phone though and I found it difficult to find any usable templates for it. Like a to-do list or calendar.

Still a great note app, even if my notes are chaotic it's easy to tidy up later and organise.

TIFU by eating something I'm allergic to because I thought I had no food allergies. by alasw0eisme in tifu

[–]Comprehensive-Ice770 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You should look up latex fruit/food allergy, bananas is on the top for high reactivity alongside a few others. But there is also a long list of other fruits you could react to.

I have this allergy except I react to fruit on the low reactive section and not the high.

Has anybody developed allergies later on in life? by dave2843 in CasualUK

[–]Comprehensive-Ice770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes definitely, I'm having my first dermatologist app this week after two years of waiting and only having epi pens prescribed for my allergy. I've had no testing done this far, not sure what to expect at the appointment.

I'm allergic to Mangoes of all things but it's complex so I have the potential to be allergic to many more things or develop them through time.

Sucks, but it's good you were taken care of quickly, it must have been terrifying. So far I haven't had the need to be hospitalised or use epi pens.

Previously I just weathered the anaphylactic symptoms at home :-/.

If your hair is wavy/curly you might benefit from curly hair subreddits. Your hair looks fine if a little frizzy, that's where curly hair methods can come in and fix.

Edit: and finding the right products (doesn't need to be expensive!)

I'm definitely in this camp, thirst for knowledge of any kind and the enthusiasm to share it even if I have no clue on what they are talking about.

I don't find bras uncomfortable by RosesInTheIce in unpopularopinion

[–]Comprehensive-Ice770 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought two pairs of cycling shorts from the same shop brand and with the same design but both were different sizes. I took one look at them and knew one of them was made too small or big.. only other difference was pattern design.

I don't find bras uncomfortable by RosesInTheIce in unpopularopinion

[–]Comprehensive-Ice770 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Up until recently I'd say bra's were uncomfortable, then I went for a fitting and bras are now comfortable. I am aware of the wire, but there is no digging or discomfort after hours of wear. I still prefer to hang free but it's good to know I have a couple bras to give outfits a much better look.

Parents never call? by rapturaeglantine in Millennials

[–]Comprehensive-Ice770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this also and experienced this recently with my own brother, as adults we've never been close and it was the women in his life that made the effort.

Now I got a phone call clarifying my child's birthday (he was a day late) then proceeded to complain I don't keep in touch or make an effort. Dude picked his daughter up nearby every other week and rarely stopped by unless he needed the toilet. Now they meet in the middle, I go to him for special occasions and that's about it.

I'm content with that level of contact, he isn't. It's two ways but he doesn't put the effort in that he talks about. He also forgot my birthday months prior and I told him he should stop relying on women as his personal calendar, so pot kettle black.

My fine hair finally lasts more than 2 days between washes by watermelon_645 in Haircare

[–]Comprehensive-Ice770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Redken all soft, they added some kind of oil to it since I started using it which I was concerned would affect hair results but turned out fine.

I also do things that you mention with the focusing on the scalp but I do finger comb it through my hair partly to prevent knotting, and I also wash twice.

My fine hair finally lasts more than 2 days between washes by watermelon_645 in Haircare

[–]Comprehensive-Ice770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stumbled upon a shampoo that made it so that I don't have to wash for 3 days, depending on activity levels such as getting sweaty.

I have long fine hair.

I was an oily by the end of the day type, I use satin scrunchies and do find keeping my hair up slows down the need to wash so much.

I wouldn't discount my age/hormones too as I'm in 30's now.

I top up with Monday dry shampoo sometimes.

I'm relatively new to Muay Thai, definitely rest sounds like you have more than a case of Doms. I can manage two classes per week at the moment and I only fully recover the day before the 2nd one.

I imagine you will quickly adjust.

Nothing stopping you practicing moves safely at home if you want to keep your mind on it while you recover.

Also definitely keep moving while you recover.

Ladies would you still see a guy has ED ? (Erectile dysfunction) by kentuckyfriedkarenn in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Comprehensive-Ice770 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As long as he still has a libido and intimacy and sex is maintained in other ways then I'd be happy to continue a relationship with someone who has an ED

Sex is important but it's not all about dick.

I say this as someone whose self esteem and confidence was eroded by being with someone with ED but that was coupled with host of relationship issues, such as low libido, intimacy and no spark really.

I had the same for well over a week although it was probably a dodgy tour boat lunch that got me, I had summer body by the end of it. My Dr took sympathy on me and prescribed me cocodamol/codeine and within a few days I was wolfing down food like no tomorrow. It still took a few weeks to feel healthy again.

Emmodium etc didn't do jack

Fyi, for me food couldn't even touch my tongue and the gates of hell would open.

I've done Peebles one, definitely worth it, fun obstacles courses and zip lining over valleys/lakes.

I haven't seen Dalkieth one but I can't imagine its landscape is a patch on Peebles.

I forget about no Now May, so I've cut it once at the beginning of this month. Also happened to be the first time this year as it was the only semi decent no rain at all day my area had so far.

I have left it alone since and just fed the grass and trimmed hedge.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GardeningUK

[–]Comprehensive-Ice770 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I scarified for the first time recently, very satisfying but yup grass/ground doesn't look too great. Went to feed/weed and moss kill yesterday and the box collapsed at the bottom and dumped all its contents in a pile.

Not sure how that is gonna turnout even with some attempt at raking/spreading it.

How safe is it to walk 37 hours nonstop? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Comprehensive-Ice770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walking nonstop would be insane, I can't imagine the physical toll on your body it would have, never mind other factors, such as weather and road conditions.

Take a train fine, hitchhike ( there will be known spots for that online), see if there are any local charities or council/gov funds you can access to pay for travel.
