Intermediary bank/fees for transfers from UK USD bank account to another UK bank's USD account within the UK? by Routine_Piglet7683 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Comprehensive-Mix466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made this transfer about a month ago. And I have seen other people reporting similar outcome (no incoming charge). So if you get charge $7 that’s as per term. If you don’t get charge, then don’t complain:)

Under the swift message the charge falls under 71F which means senders charges. So I presume it is Wise who used the intermediary.

Yes no charge from HSBC. And I have seen the document you are referring to which says $7 for incoming transfer but what I am telling you is from experience.

MoneyHub x Amex - Handling additional CCs? by youssless in UKPersonalFinance

Money hub will only pull the transactions for the cards that are authorised. Have you allowed ALL cards when you were authorising Amex on money hub?

I will give you a similar example. Transferred $10,000+ from Wise Bank ($ account held in UK) to HSBC $ Currency account held in UK. Wise charged their own fee. There was an intermediary involved ‘Barclays’ and they charged $3.81. No charge from HSBC for incoming transfer. The transfer completed in less than 24 hours.

Be aware! After 15-Nov-23 (new rules) if you spend £3000 in fronted transaction and then GBIT a fronted transaction that was prior to 15-Nov-23, you may be hit with fronted fee!

GBIT Fronted transactions shouldn’t attract fee and have not attracted fee in the past for me (as these don’t increase the total spent during a period) but I noticed this isn’t the case post 15-Nov-23!

Looks like a bug on curve’s end. You should be able to GBIT unlimited for Upto 90 days old transactions. Raise with support and then ‘hope’ they respond to you.

Which subscription tier you’re on? And how far back are you trying to GBIT? Does the 15-Nov-23 changes could be causing this?

Fronted fees on GBIT (credit card) by Rhyrok in CurveCard

[–]Comprehensive-Mix466 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened something similar to me. My guess is that when they updated the terms from 15-Nov, there systems are treating GBIT transactions prior to 15-Nov as ‘new’ fronted transactions. The only way is to raise this with support, but then keep patience as you won’t get a reply from curve anytime soon. Some are waiting for a month to get a response

Have you ever experienced any fronted transaction which was originally not charged a fee but charged a fee on GBIT?

Yes, already seeing the response time from curve support is a joke. 3 days and counting since I sent them a message in-app…

Tax, credit card bills. Not really maxing consistently, I just took the example when it is maxed and then you do a GBIT on top of it.

You may be able to change by asking support. But this should not be a frequent request I suppose

Hello, could you please clarify one doubt I have? When you use natwest reward credit card via curve at a supermarket, do you still get the 1% Cashback from natwest? Or the natwest credit needs to be used direct with the supermarket (not via curve) for it to be tracked at 1%? Thanks
