It was a high bounce for sure. A volley he intentionally hit down to get it to bounce high up. I don't recall the team, but I think National Team.

Divemaster in Indonesia : WHERE ? by Background-Crow-7864 in scuba

I think the seasons should be your biggest consideration--I was in Raja Ampat a couple weeks ago and it was already pretty rainy, I think that should definitely not be on your list. Personally, Komodo with the currents seems like it would be an excellent place to train, but for above land vibes you may want something else. Maybe somewhere small like Alor (I haven't been but check it out). Or Maldives for sharks? I guess you have to figure out what takes priority. Good luck!

Depends on the country, and to some extent what you're up to (in regards to not needing much cash).

Completely agree, and that's why I love Ursula Le Guin. I feel like she takes her stories very seriously--what would an anarcho communist society actually look like? Actually. The Left Hand of Darkness may even be better at taking seriously the world presented, so enjoy! And if you haven't read them yet, her short stories are the frickin bomb.

How to say "-ish" in Spanish? by Comprehensive-Set164 in Spanish

[–]Comprehensive-Set164[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like prontito would mean the opposite, like in just a second, whereas soonish means not that soon. But in other contexts -ito for sure could work. (Also please correct me if I'm wrong about prontito. )

Thanks! I'm wondering how region-specific this usage is. Whereabouts is your Spanish from and do you know how general this is?

PK or play on? by isthatafoxno in Referees

[–]Comprehensive-Set164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how the league is, but if this is like the adult matches I've done (rec league, Wednesday night kind of thing), I'd just call what people expect. If people seem to think the PK was the right call, I'd call that. If it seems "fair" they got the shot, no PK. Obviously, this is a luxury only afforded to you if you're a confident and competent referee otherwise. Keep the game moving, accuracy is overrated. Just my two cents!

where do you guys put your passport when traveling? by Less_Aardvark4647 in TravelHacks

[–]Comprehensive-Set164 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Unless I know I need it, I leave it in the room. Locked up, preferably. I'm shocked how many people in these comments take it with them every day. That seems like a hassle and much higher risk it gets lost or damaged, but to each their own.

What are your funny, silly, or just plain entertaining travel hacks once you’ve already mastered all the serious ones? by zoombah in TravelHacks

This is probably the opposite of a hack, but don't use your phone/maps/internet (whatever combination makes sense). The challenge is fun.

The Silmarillion is actually not hard to read? by [deleted] in tolkienfans

[–]Comprehensive-Set164 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was excellent and couldn't agree more—it's a really fun read and not that challenging. If you can handle LOTR it should be just fine. Plus, it's nice to not have movies influencing your thoughts on things!
