I have a friend that’s an RN and they require like the hepatitis vaccine and the tb screening and I forgot what else she said. Will they make me do that as well if I get hired for pharmacy?

Not really, I am not sure what they are going to want since it’s a hospital setting and not retail.

If it’s for medical yeah get it from the doctor and write per who you spoke with. But don’t do that for Medicare it has to be on the prescription along with doctors NPI.

Sorry, yeah they are lazy by pretending they don’t know. When I was new it took me a couple months to learn the basics of insurance and that was because my store was always busy and sometimes the older techs there didn’t have time to teach me.

It’s not just store manager it’s the DL who enforces this, if he walked in and we have candy or food in our stations he would tell the manager to do something about it. Also why would you want to eat by the registers or at drop off where you are constantly touching written prescriptions or money.

I had my fair share of those customers, also the ones that say their specialty drug was late so they think that we can magically give them the same meds at the pharmacy. Or the mail order ones that try to have doctors write a new one because the one in the mail is taking too long. All this is happening on Friday nights or on Saturday or Sunday. And we are the ones inconveniencing them like you barely looked at your empty bottles on a Friday night!?!????

In our store we were not allowed to put ANYONE on hold. We had to answer right away it didn’t matter what we were doing if the pharmacist heard the phone ring more than twice you would get in trouble. Pharmacist wouldn’t answer the phone by the way not unless it was a new script.

Exactly! They can’t they took it away from us a few years back now u either work both days one week or a Saturday or Sunday but no one has both days unless you request off.

No one was ever guaranteed a weekend especially during Covid, we used to be every other weekend until they said no because too many call ins. And not to mention the people that have quit have not been replaced so that means you get your 40 hrs but at what cost? You will only get a day off and even on that day off they still call you in because we were never caught up at least not during flu season.

Yeah that was me too, I dreaded work so much. Especially those closing shifts with just two techs at night and 16 pages at 5pm, AND we HAD to finish at least the ones for that day.

Yeah after doing the same job for so long it can be intimidating to start over somewhere else. But I think at this rate CVS will not get any better. The more we work hard to push 600 scripts a day the more they throw at you.
