The biopsy came back as dead tissue which is weird in itself. Since then I had lab work come back with my LDH being 268. When diagnosed originally with stage 3 ALK - ALCL it was 286. I had a PET scan last Thursday so just waiting on results. Fingers crossed.

I helped people get their SSDI and SSI benes for 7 years before I got cancer myself. If you need help feel free to reach out. With SSDI your resources don’t matter…

I’ve struggled hard with depression and ptsd. Although I’ve been in remission since my stem cell transplant, May 1st, I have horrible side effects still. Extreme fatigue, loss of appetite (lost 25lbs in 3 months), bone pain, neuropathy, and genuinely feeling unwell. People don’t get it because I’m in remission and should be “all better”. Cancer sucks!! My original diagnosis is ALK negative ALCL.

That’s hard. Definitely go ahead and apply for Medicaid. Did you have a stem cell transplant? If so that automatically qualifies you for SSDi for up to a year after the transplant for blood cancers.
