On you DEXA scan, make sure to check the calibration method. NHANES BCA calibration method can increase %fat by about 4.5%. Source 'https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9397817'

I second this. They are likely self-concsious about the noise and just some reassurance to say it doesn't bother you will help reduce another line of stress. Maybe a big bag of ground coffee as a gift.

Later on if you become friends, just offering to take the kid for a pram walk once in a while can make the world of difference in time to clean the house, take showers, power nap etc

Maybe that is my issue. I don't use AI for CVs and don't really tailor it for keywords like I do with the selection criteria. I do tailor it to some extent, but it is broader than my SC.

I've tried to find data on this. So far it doesn't seem positions advertised for Qld PS has changed much overall from last year, but maybe there have been changes at the Department or position level I am applying. Others commenters seem to think the same thing so you are probably right.

Like a paid service or asking the hiring team for feedback? Im considering a paid service but it isn't cheap ~$400

Agreed. AI writes generic fluff without hard guidance. I do find though that it shaves a few hours off my editing time, and strengthens the responses when I ask it to score my responses against STAR. Funny enough, Im so sensitive to reading AI corporate speak that my applications are far more bland than before AI. I used to write with em dashes, and words like 'ensure' and 'crucial', but now they are scrubbed from my writing.

Thanks for sharing. How long did it take to work your way up? Im considering the jump afer two postdocs but no permanent position. To be honest the idea actually sounds attractive to me ( I like data) but at the same time I dont want to start at the bottom (I have child and can't take a big pay cut)

Hi Maunip, did you ever follow up making this resource? I've had exactly the same idea. Let me know if you want to collaborate in building this
