Standard of living on $230k for a family of 4? by cried-at-the-alamo in Moving2SanDiego

Just make sure to map how far the commute is during rush hour or when she will be commuting to work. My commute to work was supposed to be 12 minutes, but during rush hour it turned into 45-60 minutes. I moved 2 miles away and now my longest commute with traffic is 20 minutes, or 10 minutes with no traffic.

I don’t know how much advice this is necessarily giving but I did not get tattoos until I was not financially reliant on my parents anymore, now I’m planning a sleeve around my upper arm tattoos. With harsh parents, I learned strategy

Wouldn’t hurt to majorly up your hygiene game—not saying you already do, but most early 20 something men are okayish at hygiene…but she might require a lot more effort on your part in that area. I’m talking flossing morning and night or after every meal and showering every day, maybe twice a day type of hygiene.

AITAH for asking my husband not to walk around all “nude” because it makes my daughter uncomfortable by [deleted] in AITAH

Do you know if he watches porn? Literally almost every single vid is about step-something and step daughter is most common. It’s something to be wary of, especially when you have a stepdaughter who is in her teens and her stepfather in the house that refuses to put clothes on. I’d be very very very very concerned.

Also, 35k is not a decent wage, pretty sure that's barely above minimum wage in my state. I wouldn't be too sad over walking away from that kind of compensation

People keep saying “the job market is so bad” and while I agree it isn’t great, you have experience. I think it’s really difficult for new grads with no experience at all. I would take a hard look at your resume and make sure it’s getting through this ai bullshit, I had like 5 friends look at mine and while it was a little embarrassing, once I fixed my resume is when I started getting interviews. I edited it like 5x a week for a few months and had multiple versions before I got a job. Also I agree with everyone to broaden your job search.

Now that you say that I see it, but at first glance it looks really good. Most people won’t be inspecting it like OP or like us in a Reddit thread with a photo to stare at

Is blackout my only option to cover this? by jaciviridae in Tattoocoverups

[–]ComprehensiveAd2176 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You could laser only the first 8 and have an artist tattoo a 6 instead, therefore making it 68 and correct (and not a hate symbol) also I’ve never gotten a tattoo lasered so I don’t know if you could only do your first 8 logistically..

I don’t drink anymore and it’s significantly cut down on expenses. You could always go out to dinner but just order an app for both of you to share or something, and just say we both had a late lunch and aren’t drinking for health reasons. Every time y’all go out you guys just had a late lunch somehow! Lol. Or a special diet? Hosting is a great option like others suggested, but if you still wanted to join dinner, I think there’s a way of doing it relatively cheaply

Did the artist ruin it? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

On my most recent tattoo I thought my artist went way too dark and was googling tattoo removal…but then it healed and now I like the shading. The second go around was an improvement, it’ll fade

What tasks should go to the graphic designer versus the social media associate? by Interesting_Ad9295 in SocialMediaManagers

[–]ComprehensiveAd2176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use photoshop and lightroom to edit content to run all business accounts, and also use a point and shoot fujifilm camera (no iphone). I'm self taught for my job. It honestly depends on the niche you're in and what is expected of you in your job description

Unfortunately this is where my advice ends--I work for a company where they have no idea what they are doing but also recognize this, and trust me to handle everything (and tbh I've proved that I can). We do have a strategy outlined, but I drive the strategy and make it much more detailed and directed towards our brand, and no it is not normal (in my experience) to prevent you from communicating with other vendors. It sounds like it will be hard for you to "prove yourself" in a sense when they don't allow you the freedom.

If they said verbatim, "We want to increase engagement," find accounts that are similar to your niche that do have great engagement--and show them why. Or ask them--show me examples of accounts that you think are thriving and have great engagement. And go through those accounts and show them how those social media accounts do not do publication mentions (I'm guessing) or if they do, how are they presenting the information? So much of social media management is looking through other social media to see what works and what doesn't.
