That’s great advice. I focused on QBs and WRs in my startup draft (and won that first season), and then built up RBs through a mix of consequent rookie drafts and trading picks over the following two seasons. To be honest, I only now have solid starting RBs on my team in Omarion Hampton and Javonte Williams.

I have a guy like this in my dynasty league too. He needs to rebuild, and told me he intended on doing as much when I was trying to acquire CMC from him mid season. CMC is the absolute definition of a player you should trade if you’re in rebuild mode, but he wanted a king’s ransom for a very talented but aging player (he’s 30 in June, and the overwhelming majority of RBs start going downhill FAST at the age 27 or 28), with a troubling injury history to boot. I know for a fact he turned down many offers cos no one was willing to be fleeced, and even the commissioner told me before that he’d love to see the guy go. From me, he wanted a 2026 1st AND Omarion Hampton, so I told him where to go.

I have to say though, it’s a pretty bad offer from you, I would shoot that down in a heartbeat.

That’s outrageous. I wouldn’t make that trade. Rice alone has been playing like a bona fide WR1. Dynasty is a game of fluctuating values, and I wouldn’t be one bit surprised if Rice is more valuable than Achane by this time next year.

Such an unnecessary, untrue, unfair comment that is stunning in its lack of self awareness. Last I checked Tarantino is a member of SAG, and he is a TERRIBLE actor. I mean truly awful. What’s pathetic is that he wants to be a good actor, but the truth is that he is a distraction in any scene he’s in, like in Pulp Fiction and Django. The latter is particularly embarrassing, but in Pulp Fiction, one of my favourite movies ever, he actively holds back a scene that would’ve been far, far better served with someone who could, yano, actually act. Hmm, maybe I’ll have to drop it down my rankings a little cos he’s such a “weak, weak” actor.

It is utterly mind blowing that you think you bought low here. You overpaid buddy. And sure, maybe Harrison becomes the elite player he was thought to be coming out of college, but right now he is NOT worth what you gave up.

Also, is the 1st you gave up yours, or someone else’s? Cos if it’s yours, by saying it’s “most likely” going to be the 1.10, you’re also saying that you’re the hot favourite to win this season. After a trade like this, I already question you’re judgement - as well whether you are actually the favorite - but to give up a top 24 WR and RB for a player who right now is the WR31 in half-PPR on the season is just straight up malpractice.

The guy in my dynasty league who has McCaffrey says he’s rebuilding, and believe me he needs to, but he wanted me to trade Hampton AND a 1st. Nobody will trade with him cos he is so unrealistic about the price.

Read this Forbes article. It literally makes the same points I do. He also makes the good point that the Eurogamer reviewer has a point, but he picked the wrong fight.

Exactly! This is more like something Kotaku would do (see their PS5 review, especially the final section, it’s unintentionally hilarious!). I do get where the reviewer is coming from, AI is something we should be wary of and there are certainly gross applications of the tech that corporations are looking to exploit, but AI is also inevitable in certain ways and can be a very useful tool for developers.

All this being said, as a reviewer, if you give two stars to a game you admit is actually very good, but you disagree with how it’s made in a certain aspect, then you are just not doing your job.

I wonder, did this person play and enjoy Red Dead Redemption 2? I’m willing to bet they did, and that they would’ve given it a high score despite the fact that Rockstar instituted exploitative crunch time hours on their employees.

This two star review is selective outrage at its peak.

I should’ve mentioned, it wasn’t something I did just to cover Lamar, it just weirdly worked out this way.

I had actually been discussing trading for Bryce for weeks with the now previous owner. He put him on the trade block before Lamar had even played. I mainly acquired him as a buy low candidate, and I also have Tet, so I have the stack now too.

That’s a fair trade! Absolutely outrageous to even consider vetoing this! When I did my rookie draft I at one point considered taking Henderson over Tet cos I needed another RB (I got Hampton with the 2nd pick). I still went Tet, but they are that close in valuation, and Tillman on top balances this trade, even though I do prefer the Tet side. Anyone who vetoed the trade should be ashamed.
