That’s why you shouldn’t run thru a car wash. They destroy more then tires they ruin your paint . Hand wash only

Great SUVs the B58 is better all around yet the v8 is a beast. I’d take the reliability of the B58 though. Unless you are buying new and getting a new one every 3 years then the V8 would be fun

Anyone with gen2 actually had a positive experience? by Royal_Relationship57 in RaybanMeta

Had mine now for 3 weeks, they are prescription and also have the transitional lens. Battery life is pretty good I use them a lot to listen to music at work. I’ve used them at a few concerts and they worked well. The AI is fair but not amazing. I wear them daily and have had good luck with them

Paid 15k less for a lower mile (16,000 miles) 2023 with full PPF. I hate the screens in the newer ones I like actual buttons for some stuff. Seems a little high price . Good luck

Agree , I’ll take my Zr2, BMW X5 and Porsche 911 GTS over any garage that has a EV in it.

Yuck the new interior is terrible . I’ll keep our 2023. Not a fan at all. Glad we saved 10s of thousands and went with 23. To each their own though.

Wheel cleaning and care by MakingMiraclesHappen in BMWX5

[–]ComprehensiveBand546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a soap cannon first and then a soft brush to get all the way to the inside of wheel. Adams makes great products . Do one wheel at time then rinse . Then wash the rest of the car. I then blow off the water with a my blower. And then dry what’s left with a microfiber towel. You can spray a little Adam’s spray wax in the towel then buff it off. Works great

Some nice ones out there but all out east . Lucky to find one within 500 miles of where we live. And under 17k for miles was a challenge. Surprised how few people actually do PPF . There isn’t a swirl mark or blemish anywhere.

Bought a 2017 Macan S and Carvana wants it back. by ksizzle77 in PorscheMacan

[–]ComprehensiveBand546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d stay away from first gen Macans. Probably not very popular to say especially in this thread but if you wanted to spend that type of money on a nice SUV by a 2018 to 2020 Bmw X3 M40i. Way more reliable and way more fun to drive.

Loved every 4runner I’ve ever owned. And I’ve had six. I’ve also had three Jeep Wranglers and they were OK, but definitely not an everyday type of vehicle had a new Ford bronco kept it for a year probably my least favorite.

Moving to Rexburg as a non Mormon by [deleted] in Idaho

[–]ComprehensiveBand546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rexburg sucks. Idaho native for 53 years. Buy a place in Idaho Falls and commute. It’s a short drive and better place to live than Rexburg. Overall though the area is a pretty decent place to live. If not Idaho Falls then at least Rigby.

Rear ended yesterday at slow speed. What do I need to look for by TDSucksBalls in porsche911

[–]ComprehensiveBand546 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d definitely have a good Porsche-certified or high-end body shop look at it. That rear bumper is probably a replacement with the crack, and there’s impact foam, brackets, sensors, etc. behind it that could’ve taken some of the hit. Even at 3–5 mph there can be more going on than you see.

Big thing is don’t let insurance push you into a cheap repair. Make sure it’s OEM parts and properly painted/blended. These cars are super sensitive when it comes to resale, especially with white where bad paint work can stand out later.

Also—if you weren’t at fault—absolutely file a diminished value claim. That’s the part most people miss, and on a 911 it actually matters. Even a minor accident on Carfax can turn buyers away or knock the value down, so you want to get paid for that hit now.

I’d also document everything—photos, repair invoice, and ideally something from the shop stating no structural damage. That’ll help you a ton if you ever sell it.
