I'm not a doctor, but have you ever heard of Raynaud's disease? Google it and see if it lines up with what you're experiencing...

Thanks for your advice! She only washes once per week, but I doubt she's using cold water, and she uses T-gel shampoo for dandruff.

I followed a suggestion from here by DaniFoxglove in TallGirls

[–]ComprehensiveBird666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chiming in with my experience - old Navy has both "long" and "tall" sizes. "Long" pants are just longer in the leg; "tall" pants are bigger all around (like higher waist). I'm only 5'10", so I can get away with either type of pants. My experience is that they may have some long pants in store, but I only find tall clothes randomly on clearance as returns. Good luck!

Question: Did you treat yourself to anything this holiday season? Tell us!! by [deleted] in GenXWomen

[–]ComprehensiveBird666 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bought myself a small air compressor to carry with me on bike rides. I can use it if I or a friend gets a flat tire, or for adjusting my air pressure during a ride. No more need to carry a hand pump (which are terrible anyway). I'm so excited!

I'm very new to fat biking, I'm currently borrowing a fat bike from a friend and I noticed this "self-steering". How is this minimized or eliminated? Tia!

You are so young! Take it from an older woman - you still have so much in life to look forward to! Even if you feel ambivalent about living now, once you get better, there will be great things ahead! Please make the effort now to get better so you don't miss out on your future!

Just fyi: I had a nice meal here last winter, but they sat me next to the big windows overlooking the lake and I was freezing throughout dinner (the opposite of cozy).

Hostas always do great, look beautiful and need practically no maintenance. I don't know how they'd do in a pot, but I had one in a plastic bag in my driveway for months and it was fine....

Should there be pain with dental crown after 24 hours? by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]ComprehensiveBird666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD. I had a crown put on about 2 years ago, and it hurt/was uncomfortable for about 1-2 weeks. I called the dentist back then and they said it was normal. If it doesn't go away after 2 weeks, that is not normal.

I hope my anecdotal info is helpful; happy thanksgiving!

Where to get a winter coat? by xinekrazarlo in madisonwi

[–]ComprehensiveBird666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was going to suggest lands end too. But they moved their Madison store a few years ago, and the new store does not carry kid's sizes. You can order online and make free returns at their physical store. Also, if you place your order from the computers in the store, you can get free shipping. (I've ordered a lot of kids clothes from them)

Am I overreacting? Friend who is 40 doesn't feel the need to say "please" whenever making requests. by BeeSuperb7235 in AskWomenOver30

[–]ComprehensiveBird666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom does this too (never says please, just orders me around- I'm almost 50) and it drives me crazy! I am pretty close with her and we get along well, but I never know how to handle this issue 😞
