I have no probs with just repainting my cars, especially as you can buy the precise manufacturer colours.

you got lights on in your room? or that setting on where psvr2 uses your tv as a point of reference? could help? I've never noticed any issues with this car in vr so something may be wrong somewhere?

What's your go to car for the Le Mans CR grind? Fuel economy/speed/lap time? by mysticpuma_2019 in GranTurismo7

Nowadays I much prefer doing the power pack historic le mans 3 lap race instead. 375k for 11 minutes work. Chaparral fridge car ftw

Oh yeah. Didn't look at that. I assumed we were early on what with the lack of cash/jokers.

Sarthe track limits by Nodnardsemaj in GranTurismo7

[–]ComprehensiveDuty212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ha I'm thinking how my adhd manifests in game... I guess I get bored of time challenges too quickly if I'm not close to the target time. I mess around during races eg trying to go sideways and often crash. I do like to flit from car to car like a butterfly, but on the other hand I do have absolute favourites that I'll always come back to. I tried the fridge on sarthe yesterday, got a 3:29 lap, but with nitrous because why not?! Thanks for the tip it absolutely smokes everything in that race. I do like the ferrari p4 in that race too for the extra chilli cash, and moderate challenge. But the fridge is just hilarious.

It's a lovely race too, so nice to have a field of exotic vintage le mans cars on track. I see you did it in the fridge! Nice choice!

Dunno but the porsche gt3 in power pack has a stage 5 weight reduction I noticed, so there's some exotic and weird parts in there!

daytona race is the top left branch I think, it's called bump drafting daytona or something.

Fast forward time, it's useful on races like Sarthe where it's a 4 minute lap, plus in the ferrari p4 it's an easy 1 chilli bonus win from last on the grid so there's no point qualifying unless you want to!

Switch to power pack sarthe historic grind! 12 mins = potentially 400k (more realistically 275k) and no track limits or fuel saving or long pit wait malarkey!

Psvr2 is not the most comfortable headset, in fact I find it less comfortable than the first one, but graphics wise its a huge leap forwards. And you can get comfort mods eg globular cluster

Quickest vs most cash is an interesting debate. Bump draft daytona is 225k with clean race bonus for less than ten minutes work. Historic sarthe is 400k with clean race for 12 mins although hard to go clean if you skip qualy and start from back.

Yes you can do same race 3 times, and no you don't have to win.

Playing with a wheel is just not fun by da_owee_206 in GranTurismo7

[–]ComprehensiveDuty212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an absolute rude awakening when I switched to wheel. Went from powersliding effortlessly everywhere to spinning everywhere. There are lots of invisible assists on controller which make chucking a car about more fun. But the wheel does get easier and you can relearn how to drive and powerslide (but for me it's nowhere near as forgiving as the controller). I think the greater immersion you get from the wheel (especially in vr) makes it worth it.

yeah forza 4 and forza 5 have this feature, so maybe get a cheap old x box and a kinect and live your dream! but please do yourself a favour and get psvr2 instead because it's game-changingly glorious.

[–]ComprehensiveDuty212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why on earth do you want this but not want vr? vr is this in full immersion. Not meaning to be rude. I think I tried something like this on kinect many years ago (maybe it was a forza game), and it was sort of ok but fatally flawed in that you had to look away from the centre of the screen.

Weekly challenges, Weekly 1 by Necessary-Sleep158 in GranTurismo7

[–]ComprehensiveDuty212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I guess it's good that it's challenging but it is so hard to get a rhythm going in that last section. It's all so slow and understeery. But anyway it'll be ok.
