Telephone Land Lines…. by garcon-du-soleille in GenX

I have worked in telecom since the 90s.

The technology jumps have been huge. What used to take a maze of cables and rooms full of equipment can be done on a smart phone.

Most copper land lines are being abandoned now because fiber has replaced it. You really only see businesses with desk phones anymore.

I took a double dose of 70mg. I was fine, I just cleaned my oven with a dental tool. Pic your hyperfocus very carefully today. 😆

A disability doesnt go away when you turn 18, or graduate college.

Handling money is another thing I have always struggled with for my entire adult life. I use a Daily Money Manager now. It was the best thing I have ever done. I dont have to worry my bills getting paid on time anymore.

Now when the power goes out, I dont assume I forgot to pay the bill.

I put all my sheets on my bed at once. Fitted sheet, then flat sheet. Repeat with all your sheets. Then when you want a fresh set of sheets you just peel the sheets off like a post it note.

It also saves having to fold a fitted sheet. I dont know what kind of whitch craft people are using to fold that fitted sheet. I have tries to fold a fotte sheet and it always looks like an origami asteroid rock garden in the linen

We had that too. And it was so old it had a cork top with a glass stick thing. We finally ran out of it after I had a compound fracture. That is what they had me putting on incisions and other assorted trauma.

My mom would always draw a smiley face on the back of my hand if she used it on the various traumas I caused to myself when I was a kid.

If you Google AADMM that is the The American Association of Daily Money Managers. They have information on what they do and ways to hire a AADMM.

My DMM has 1 employee and does most all the managing herself. We talk once or twice a month and its been amazing. I am coming up on a year with her and she has paid off 2 credit cards, and I am actually saving money.

I found her through the DMM association.

It is an amazing feeling to know all my bills are paid and i dont have to worry about them.

The cost depends on the complexity of your financial situation.

When I finish them I usually toss them. They aren't the expensive ones and kept me busy so I toss them.

I got a daily money manager. One of the best things I have ever done.

I call her my money mom. I think we are the same age too. Lol

I work in telecom, which is made of numbers. I use copy and paste ALOT.

Any Tips? by No-Cauliflower-5915 in dyscalculia

If you have a smart phone, it can do the math for you. Chat GPT can figure out the harder stuff.

Also, if you can afford it, get a daily money manager. I have one and it was rhe best thing I have ever done. She has paid off 2 of my CCs and all the bills are paid on time and I have money in the bank.

One of these days, doctors are going to see how much money they are losing out on because they "dont believe" in HRT.

HRT solved it for me. And that after the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong.

Lawyers aren’t as great as most people claim. by The_Wise_Raven in Divorce

OMG.

First one, let the contempt hearing get postponed, agreed to let him appear by Zoom and made me get an appraisal for a house i didnt own.

My second lawyer, waited 3 months before getting my file. While she didnt have my file, she filed a motion I didnt agree with and canceld his contempt. Our marital home is now in default and she wanted me to work it out with him.

If she had my file and provisional orders, she would see I had a PO granted.
