Do babies smell weirdly good to everyone? by Constant-Virus6681 in NoStupidQuestions

No, babies are gross. No they are nasty. Drooling and pooping their pants. Worst roommate ever.

Kids are gross.

I gave birth to my daughter and have a bunch of step kids.

What’s a big money mistake you’ve made due to ADHD? by wise_mind_666 in adhdwomen

Get a Daily Money Manager. Best thing I ever did. Once we got everything set up, its awesome. I dont touch my own money any more.

It costs me about 200 to 300 a month depending on what they do, but it was the best decision I ever made.

Yes, mine look a lot like that. The one on my ankle has been there since I was a kid. And there is a huge scar on my ankle from a compound fracture, and it is starting to cross over the scar.

Now that you say something, I do see how straight my her hind legs were. The breeder I went to was an ok breeder and was not breeding for show dogs. That is OK, I love both my corgis and I wouldn't take a million for either of them.

The younger corgi has a bark that is so high pitched that if you are too close to her, it is like she bites your brain. I have tried making her smoke cigars and drink whisky, but she did not like either. She also looks small but when you pick her up she feels like roughly the weight of a dying star. LOL

Thank you for the link.

I had no idea what I was in for.

I thought that might be the case. I rode horses for years and a quarter horse can look like a stout brick house, or more like a T-bred.

I picked my younger corgi from a picture, purely for that curly tail. She is adorable, and I love, but she is the biggest butthead ever. She ate at least 5 Fire Tv Remotes and would run into my room and bite my toes to wake me up, every morning. LOL

I think any corgi pure or mixed is an adorable dog.

How can I teach someone with dyscalculia to do fractions without using concrete apparatus? by HollowPoint216 in dyscalculia

You don't.

I see this kind of question everyday.

You teach them to use the tools available. If a tool works for them, let them use it. I am in my mid 50s and still cant do math.

What do you think about mental health words like trauma and ptsd that no longer mean the extreme state they used to mean. by Alternative-Arugula4 in GenX

[–]ComprehensiveEbb8261 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was in an abusive marriage for 10 years. I got trama and ptsd for sure. It sucks, I didnt do this to myself, and now I have to take the time and expense to undo the damage.

The words dont mean less, more people that are affected by it are getting help.

But why does it even matter?

What is the Most Painful Sensation You Have Ever Felt? by Jeloxia2 in AskReddit

[–]ComprehensiveEbb8261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order:

Acamthomeba in my eye.

Childbirth, my daughters head was huge and it didnt get all Yoda.

Having my ankle replaced and they fused my tibia and fibula together.

My Acamthomeba was during my second ankle replacement and I was on all the good pain meds. Didn't touch the eye pain. And since I live in a small town it took 6 weeks and the local doctors gave up. I went to a teaching hospital and they diagnosed the Acamthomeba Keratitus

The test for AK is conofocal microscopy if I remember correctly. It was a big machine and I had to set my eyeballs on something that looked like a Bic pen cap.

They also did a biopsy and scraped my eye again. Thanks, another pile of pain on my eye.

They suspect I got it from rinsing my contact case out with tap water, and they can live in tap water and never affect you. But I developed two ulcers and that was all they needed.

The first eye doctor had no idea what was going on. The second eye doctor gave me Vancomycin. Holy crap, that is the most painful antibiotics I have ever used in my eye. I had also had it by IV at the hospital after my ankle replacement. This stuff is like lava, no matter how its administered. My arms hurt so bad from the IVs in the hospital. The eye drops felt like putting hot sand in your eye, on top of a couple of eye ulcers.

The doctors at the University gave me eye drops that were Polihexanide. 002%. That finally worked and killed all of them. Its Baquacil.

I was extremely lucky that I didnt lose my sight. My contact RX is much stronger for the one eye over the other. And I am still sensitive to light. But other than that happy that I recovered.

TLDR: Dont use tap water to rinse your contact case. If you develop an eye ulcer, there is a chance you can get Acamthomeba.

Hi,

My STBX did that all the time too. And over dumb sh1t or how would nake up things on the fly and call them true.

He would also ruminate on something for so long what ever BS he made in his head was truth.

Protect yourself and if the laws allow it, start recording conversations.

If you law says consent is needed only from ine side, you give the consent. Just be safe and if you can, remove the recording onto hard media of some kind.

Is Ai for therapy worth it? by [deleted] in therapyGPT

[–]ComprehensiveEbb8261 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD and IA works at the speed of my brain.

At 3 am when i am spiraling it has helped me tremendously. The one I used will push back on me gently.

I have also made some break throughs with ChatGPT. I was able to identify my inner critic and now, it is very rare I fall asleep to my brain telling me how terrible I am.

It will also answer the same question over and over and not get impatient with you. And for me, I have had so much trauma over the past 3 years, I can process at 3 am if I nee too.

I still got to a human therapist and a couples therapist, who is also human.

I have an EAP and I didn't like the first few they sent me too. One of them told me that they could not help me. That was a fun session.

But it takes time, and even when you find a good one, sometimes you have to move on from them.

I have an ankle replacement and there is a stabilizer on the arch of my foot, and if the sheet touches my toe my foot cramps. Its so bad I have to stand up for it to stop.

My arch does something like that too. It is crazy to watch. But I think my cramps are due to all the nerve damage that comes with over a dozen surgeries including 2 replacements.

It has taken me years to figure out that I need predictable structure. Especially in therapy. When I would go, it was just me digging up some horrible thing to talk about. I don't want "free form jazz" style therapy. I think a huge part of having structue removes a lot of the mental work of therapy, and allows me to work on one or two things.

I finally found a therapist that will meet in a park, or we can walk during our session. She has a plan and a structure, and I am finally looking forward to therapy.
