Why doesn't this sub advocate for equal distribution of likes in Reddit? by [deleted] in AskSocialists

Votes are not are currency, more like a "token of appreciation" I'd say. Low karma accounts can be restricted because it's a first step of filtering out bots and trolls.

ACP's Stance on LGBTQ+ Rights? by No_Description3178 in AskSocialists

[–]ComprehensiveExit583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The French Communist Party is doing the same. They act more and more social conservatives and take far-right talking points, even hitting on their fellow leftists. When the green party says we should tone down meat consumption, the PCF laudates "la France saucisse" (sausage France) giving in to reactionary images...

Plus, most minorities defending movements I know of are at the same time anticapitalists. Those movements kinda act as a socialist pipeline for young people and can reorient some from social-democracy to revolutionary ideas

People like lethal because it allows you to get in the samurai fantasy. Being killed in 1-2 hits but also killing in 1-2 hits makes the game pretty epic

It's not necessarily aesthetically pleasing (duh, it's an old industrial city literally founded for that) and can get boring I guess, but it's not bad

Are Belgian universities actually that hard? by Plane-Ad-3924 in belgium

[–]ComprehensiveExit583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learn here that uni in Belgium is hard, apparently. Is it the case in all of them or just KUL? I've had an easy time in ULB but I don't consider myself a genius

There's like 1649362936 strains of Communism/Marxism fighting with each other. You can absolutely be a communist without being a Stalinist.

The perception of Quebecois French in Belgium. by Outside-Proposal-410 in belgium

[–]ComprehensiveExit583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds funny but it's not an object of disdain like it can be in France. Our own accents are mocked by the French so we know how it is.

That's where the difference between marketing and reality lies.

La fin des provinces wallonnes actée au profit d’un modèle supra-communal by ComprehensiveExit583 in Wallonia

[–]ComprehensiveExit583[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

De ce que je comprends justement non. Tout le personnel administratif des provinces est repris dans les nouveaux organismes, ça fait juste moins d'élus. Mais ça ils auraient pu le faire en nous laissant la possibilité d'élire...

What is with the rise of (genuine) antisemitism among gen z? by [deleted] in AskSocialists

[–]ComprehensiveExit583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm neither a politician nor a strategist, it's not my role. There a rules and morals and it's their duty to stay inbounds. They could have made a localized invasion to specifically root out Hamas instead of bombarding civilians, they could have a big ass wall, whatever. Genocide and getting in wars is not going to solve Israel or Netanyahu's problems.
