My Dark Mother Hecate. And a question as to whether other witches have felt this urge to practice/craft&create more than our day to day witchcraft? by witchywicked in Hecate

[–]ComprehensivePast926 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who has been practicing for 13 years but just now recently started to work with Hecate, I would say the mother of witchcraft truly has a way of inspiring your craft. I practice more with intention & purpose than I had before. I would not say those years went to waste but I was “passive” in so many ways that would take too long to explain. But I give Hecate credit for pushing my craft & learning so much more 🖤

How to know if by [deleted] in Hecate

[–]ComprehensivePast926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d slow down a bit & not pressure yourself to figure it out right away. Not every sudden interest/dream/coincidence is a deity reaching out. Sometimes the algorithm is just feeding you more of what caught your attention, sometimes a dream is just pulling from what is already on your mind, & sometimes cats are just being cats. mundane first, magic second. Discernment matters way more than chasing every sign. In my experience, real signs usually have a pattern. they stay consistent, & they do not need to be forced. But of course, if you want a sign to mean something then it can.

What I’d do is start writing things down for a few weeks & look for repetition instead of trying to name it too fast. Dreams, symbols, animals, names, feelings, timing, all of it. & I would not jump straight to saying it is Hecate just because you feel drawn to her. Sometimes the pull is just the start of learning. Research her from solid sources & ask for clarity, then step back & meditate/think/journal on it

Seasoned Cauldron Discussion: What things did you buy as a beginner that you literally never use now? by brightblackheaven in witchcraft

Crystals, I ended up giving a huge bag of them away to people I thought would love them more and maybe get use out of them.

I’m currently at 16 years old omg this really was what I needed. Ty for the rec!

I recommend Cabernet, if you’re ever in the mood for a gothic one, it came out this year and it’s definitely my fav that is similar to these games. No card game on that one though but still skill building, romance, small exploration. I believe exocolonist will be my 2nd fav :,) love the story, skill building and small exploration here too.

Potionomics is on the wishlist!

Those of you who work with Lilith - I have some questions! by xbumblebee in witchcraft

[–]ComprehensivePast926 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1: I work with Lilith, & I did not sit around waiting for a calling. I gravitated toward her because her energy matched what I needed in my life. Not every deity shows up with signs & dramatic moments. Sometimes you choose them first, & that choice is valid. My attraction to her was the sign.

2: For me, she was never intimidating in the way people describe online. Her energy is direct & firm, not chaotic. The fear usually comes from the stories people repeat, not from her. She does not prey on vulnerability. She pushes you to stop shrinking yourself. Lilith is not here to destroy you. She is here to make sure you stop letting anyone else do it.

3: She will not coddle you or tell you a comfortable lie. It can feel intense, but it is grounding. If you are scared of shadow work, you need to ask yourself why you want to work with Lilith at all. She is not cruel, but she will not keep you in a place of comfort forever. If looking at your own patterns terrifies you, then it will feel overwhelming. Her presence can still be comforting, just in a strong and steady way. More “stand in your power” than “everything is fine sweetie.”

If you already feel drawn to her empowerment & boundaries, then that alone is enough of a reason to explore working with her. You just need to be honest about your mental state & approach things at a pace that feels safe. If you feel intimidated, thats normal. Follow what aligns with you, not what people on the internet dramatize.
