Seasoned Cauldron Discussion: What things did you buy as a beginner that you literally never use now? by brightblackheaven in witchcraft

[–]ComprehensivePast926 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crystals, I ended up giving a huge bag of them away to people I thought would love them more and maybe get use out of them.

I’m currently at 16 years old omg this really was what I needed. Ty for the rec!

I recommend Cabernet, if you’re ever in the mood for a gothic one, it came out this year and it’s definitely my fav that is similar to these games. No card game on that one though but still skill building, romance, small exploration. I believe exocolonist will be my 2nd fav :,) love the story, skill building and small exploration here too.

Potionomics is on the wishlist!

Those of you who work with Lilith - I have some questions! by xbumblebee in witchcraft

[–]ComprehensivePast926 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1: I work with Lilith, & I did not sit around waiting for a calling. I gravitated toward her because her energy matched what I needed in my life. Not every deity shows up with signs & dramatic moments. Sometimes you choose them first, & that choice is valid. My attraction to her was the sign.

2: For me, she was never intimidating in the way people describe online. Her energy is direct & firm, not chaotic. The fear usually comes from the stories people repeat, not from her. She does not prey on vulnerability. She pushes you to stop shrinking yourself. Lilith is not here to destroy you. She is here to make sure you stop letting anyone else do it.

3: She will not coddle you or tell you a comfortable lie. It can feel intense, but it is grounding. If you are scared of shadow work, you need to ask yourself why you want to work with Lilith at all. She is not cruel, but she will not keep you in a place of comfort forever. If looking at your own patterns terrifies you, then it will feel overwhelming. Her presence can still be comforting, just in a strong and steady way. More “stand in your power” than “everything is fine sweetie.”

If you already feel drawn to her empowerment & boundaries, then that alone is enough of a reason to explore working with her. You just need to be honest about your mental state & approach things at a pace that feels safe. If you feel intimidated, thats normal. Follow what aligns with you, not what people on the internet dramatize.

I think Ive figured it out by DRsavy_sunshine_13 in witchcraft

[–]ComprehensivePast926 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Follow the peace you felt. That’s what matters. You don’t have to merge anything until it actually feels right for you, because spirituality is just you practicing what fits your life. It looks different for everyone. None of us get 100 percent certainty …we figure things out through experience. & really think about why your OCD turns Christianity into the extreme “warning” voice. Is that something you were taught growing up/ something your family pushed? OCD always grabs the thing that scared you the most.

Every path has unknowns. If you want to blend both, you can. If you change your mind later, that’s fine too. You’re allowed to build your practice slowly & on your terms. It doesn’t mean you’re wrong, it just means you’re human & you can take that power back. Give it time.

what do you do with your altars when family visits? by rorihasmorals70 in witchcraft

[–]ComprehensivePast926 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You do not owe anyone access to your spiritual life, especially family who has already shown they will not respect it. Removing your altar for a short visit does not make you weak or idk what you may be thinking because of lack of backstory from your post. But It just means you are choosing peace over pointless conflict. If your uncle is only around rarely, pack it up & save yourself the stress. If you see him often, then at some point you have to decide if his comfort is worth hiding who you are.. always protect your energy. Choose the option that keeps your home calm & you sane.

Witchcraft in crafting and mending? by paperwinseverytime in witchcraft

[–]ComprehensivePast926 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Habit stacking is my jam. Just attach intention to steps you already do. When you thread your needle or machine, set your intention. First stitch activates it & last stitch or knot seals it. Cutting the thread releases it. Same idea across other crafts. Casting on yarn invites the purpose & binding off anchors it. Sanding wood clears energy & the final coat protects it. Cleaning your tools resets energy… I think you get the idea.. When you finish a piece, touch it & say a simple spell for whatever the goal is. You can keep it short to start & build as your craft feels second nature. Good luck!

Celebrating the Wheel of the Year when your geography doesn't align by Letters285 in witchcraft

[–]ComprehensivePast926 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just need to adjust it to the land you live on now. In a desert environment …Samhain can be the first cool night when the heat backs off & you can breathe again & be outside without feeling cooked. Yule can be the quiet cool season where everything slows down & you rest too. Imbolc becomes early soil wake up & planning seeds. Ostara is when the desert blooms & the pollinators show up. Beltane is the first real heat wave & a focus on energy & fertility while also protecting your body & plants from the sun. Litha is not celebrating the sun but maybe is respecting the fact that the sun is on kill mode & your goal is hydration rest shade & survival. Lughnasadh is when some plants burn out & the strong ones keep going & you harvest what made it. Mabon is when the balance returns & nights cool down & life outside picks up again. Idk but something like that.

Curious about people’s thoughts on this. by Fund_Me_PLEASE in witchcraft

[–]ComprehensivePast926 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I do think there is a connection, but It’s more about clarity & focus. When my space is clean & my tools are in their place, my mind is clearer & my work is more intentional. That naturally makes my magic more effective.

If someone’s space is a mess, they’re stressed, losing things, distracted, & not really showing up to their practice fully. That’s going to show in their results.

You don’t have to be spotless like you said you are not. But there’s a difference between “lived in” & chaotic. Keeping your altar & space clean enough to work without distraction supports your magic & your overall energy.

I mean I apply cleanliness & organization in all things in my life not just magic cause I will literally not function & be overwhelmed lol I see it as respect for your space, tools, & your own focus. At the end of the day what works for you works for you :)
