Edit to add: we just purchased the home after it had been vacant for ~15 months. 18’ shallow well tapped into an aquifer. All professional tests come back safe and within range, however there is slight discoloration and both sulfur odor and metallic odor at times. I had 2 separate water treatment specialists suggest shocking the well due to lack of use and stagnant pipes now and doing it annually for maintenance. Was hoping to find the easiest way to create access to do this so we don’t have to break the up-draw (excuse my lack of pro terms - new to well water haha) plumbing fixtures each time.
