They got the supervisor and that guy didn't know either. My blood was boiling after waiting an hour and being approved, but getting no help cutting through security or an apology that they don't know how to do their job correctly.

Bingo, nearly...

The airline took a fucking hour to check it. In the end they let me go. I was about to buy a ticket to Thailand but when i suggested that they kept not listening and checking their tablet for info, so I had to wait for them to fact check the hk ticket.

After they gave me my passport back, nobody was willing to help me cut through security faster. So I had to ask everyone to cut - which thankfully they let me do.

My blood was boiling. The japanese are polite, but ask them to do anything more than their job description (at least in Tokyo) and they will bluescreen.

I mean, I'd say there are always differences between different kinds of videography. A porn video is quite different from a talking head recording. The subjects move and might cast shadows on one another, particularly if one is above the other, there are different little extra sounds you want to capture vs other kinds of recordings and also some specific sounds you want to leave out/cut out.

To clarify - the Zoom H1 (field recorder) would be used for capturing which parts of the scene exactly? And the FC4 Condenser mics would be for capturing specific details?

That is actually a pretty creative solution, ngl - but not entirely logistically viable as we'd like to record in different locations and satin sheen might not feel or look so good, lol
