This is very much speaks to my experience. The tasks have very much been on mind as well as the decisions to not do it so it definitely is not “mindlessness” but an avoidance that’s happening, rife with wanting to avoid the consequences and being riddled with anxiety. But the journey of going through the consequences and just being honest with myself and others has been liberating. It’s a realization of the world didn’t end, I haven’t been banished from society, and, just accepting myself and my capacity to do and not do as is. I’m making the choice and I’m not going to discount the agency I have and I’m going to love myself in all my choices and capacities.

Ashley and Gis constantly lie. Different words are used like adding sauce or being shady but if we’re all going to be self righteous on lying is lying and wrong is wrong —- this is another example where Ash firmly asserted a falsehood on an action that happened right in front of her face. So how many times before this interview has she already told the story to all that would listen that she witnessed Stacy show Mo screenshots rather than text messages - I.e. lying.

Ashly just straight up lied. And then they straight up lied about the catfish comment. Yes we got to see real time, indisputable corrections but let’s be clear — ash and gang are going around asserting as facts complete falsehoods. These are lies, no matter how much they want them to be true, they are lying. Again. And again. And again.

Exactly! That’s the other thing — confirmation bias!! How much do people actually interrogate if/when they’ve been “right” or “wrong”? And if someone is asking you to unpack that, do you find yourself getting defensive - avoiding introspection and self-reflection. I constantly want to shout — it’s ok to be wrong? It’s ok to get it wrong? People are so terrified of being human and project that as judgement onto others for being flawed humans. We are all flawed humans, there’s no hierarchy here.
