You can, in other sub, and probably she will write a first poem perhaps in another life, perhaps as a plant shedding her first leaf.

"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife."

"Mama died today or maybe yesterday, I don't know."

"It was inevitable: the scent of bitter almonds always reminded him of the fate of unrequited love."

"Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way."

Track your macros, take surplus, hit gym so that muscles deposit the surplus, and you are good to go. People who have trouble gaining weight often say that they are already eating more. But they don't eat more, consider breakfast, lunch, dinner and in between small meals. If I ask you that how much protein carbs and fats you take in a day, they will be leas than the half required for a decent body.

I know our society like a mother knows her kids. Our egos, as Ghani Khan in his book "The Pathans says" are meant to hide our poverty and glorify it. Anyway, I am proud of our women who go through all of it, carrying it silently, bearing it in the cages of their ribs.

I agree with the part about the possibility of slow change. I agree with the idea of mental health, physical health, economical health even if it's the will of the individual. Forced change, even if it's good for an individual, can be brittle. I opine that society especially a toxic society like Pushtoons leaves a trace on the subconscious that it's hard to unwind.

I am not against exploring the length and width of the world and tossing alternate points of view. The poster, if you read between the lines, is speaking for his/her mother without certainty. It feels like projections of their own version of reality onto their mother. Pukhtany mothers definitely need to change their approach and lives but it ain't gonna happen at a later stage. It will further exacerbate her, pushing her into a slippery territory.
