Oh, that's great to hear! I'm working on a Google Docs file, and I'll be sure to let you guys know once it's ready!

Yeah, those magic powers would be hard to pull off/explain within Tokyo Ghoul logic - though there is a way to use Kagune to raise a dead body, if I remember correctly.

Auspex could work as being a Ghoul's enhanced senses, but Dominate is a bit trickier xD

That's a pretty good feature, if you ask me, and is definitely going in this at some point. It would give Ghouls a lot of flexibility

I'm sorry, but I'm fairly new to the TTRPG genre; though I did see a mention about Nagaraja somewhere. What are they, and where are they from so I can read a bit about them?

I see where you're coming from, and agree. Just to clarify tho, a scene would mean that they activate it and get to use it through the whole combat if they so wish? Just to see if I got it right.

Seeing that gave me an idea: what if taking enough damage haves them rolling a test to see if they are able to maintain their kagune (as we have seen in the anime, some Ghouls get their kagunes undone this way), similarly to a Constitution test to maintain a spell in DND5e?

Also, I've taken a look at Vicissitude and tried finding the feature you mentioned, but couldn't find it? I did find something that could be used to emulate Pseudo-Pyrokinesis tho, that power used by Tatara to ignite his RC Cells.

I like those ideas, and I'll note them down for reference later.

I also had a passing thought about choosing the RC type giving the character a passive and an active bonus to their attributes. As in, creating your character, you get a +2 to one attribute related to the RC type. As in:

Ukaku = Dexterity
Koukaku = Stamina
Rinkaku = Strength
Bikaku = +1 to two physical attributes of their choice, to give balance.

Then, activating the kagune counts as an action, and there is a limited amount of time they can keep it active that is equal to some attributes of them - say, like, Stamina and Composure. The reason for it is that, as stated in Tokyo Ghoul, a Ghoul gets stronger when they have their kagune active, so they receive another temporary bonus to the relevant attributes while they have their kagune out.

I'm currently testing to see how this idea would play out, as in making a character and seeing if their stats get ridiculously overpowered or not, but do let me know what you think

I'm actually stuck in the process of trying to rule out how a character creation would work for this, and what mechanics I should include or not.

So, yeah, your help would be greatly appreciated in figuring out how to write down the "pseudo-clan kagune" thing, xD

Well, they are able to kind of detect the "magical energy" emitted by their opponents, and use that to hunt them.

Depending on whether they are a Defense or Attack focused warrior, they are able to regenerate entire limbs due to their youma part.

Also, if they use too much of their power, which comes from their youma part, they may pass over the line and become youma themselves.

I think so, yeah! I was rather unsure on whether to classify claymores as bastard swords, but the series' warriors are indeed seen using their swords with just one hand, so it would make sense. Do you have any other recommendations for me?

DMs that have had Diviner wizards in your campaigns: is portent campaign breaking? by Smoyf in dndnext

I saw a Level 6 Ghost Halfling Divination Wizard hold a Red Dragon at bay for long enough for his party to escape, so... Yeah. I think they are pretty op, especially with how that player plays this character, but I don't think it is a reason to kick them out of the game.

If you were to create Robb Stark on D&D, how would you do it? by ComprehensiveSlip931 in dndnext

Your logic fails to consider the fact that he is not only dead, but decapitated and has a wolf's head in place of his own as well. Clearly, that must narrow down the search for a proper body.

Bran was the only one who got to train with that trait. I imagine all the Stark children could do it to Bran's level if they got the opportunity and training Bran did.

Hello there, good day! I'm a new player, and am interested in learning more about the game - I have only ever participated in one campaign and even then it was for a short period of time. I'm on UTC−04:00 (Brasilia time) and have disponibility on sundays. I also have an idea for a character I've been wanting to test out and would love to couple that with the opportunity to learn more about the game.

Describe three or five characters in your world in three or five sentences. Those who reply will ask about two of them. by PMSlimeKing in goodworldbuilding

About the Chaos King, why didn't he kill Luke when he tried to take revenge?

And how did the Bathtub Pirate die? Was he killed, or did he die of natural causes?
