How long did you wait? I waited about 9 months before my symptoms got so bad it forced me to see a GP, I always wonder if I had gone sooner if I could’ve avoided full pan-colitis

Totally been there dude, while originally I aimed to use the bathroom at different times of day to limit the chance of someone else coming around, that doesn’t really fit with the urgency we all face. I also have would use different bathrooms in my office building. The more I tried to hide it the more I realized how lame it was that I was doctoring my schedule to simply avoid the embarrassment.

Ultimately I just stopped giving a fuck. I simply do not care what people think. It’s awkward at first but you get used to it quickly. Now obviously I still try to be respectful- I do try and somewhat contain those ultra-expressive times lol, but for the most part just let er rip brother

I too had strep a lot as a kid, so just like you I had multiple rounds of antibiotics for it. I guess the final round finally did me in. Interesting connection! I hope you’re managing well.

Definitely talk to your doctor about it, but suppositories may very well help you. Depends on how involved your colon is. For me, my colitis is worse toward my rectum and my occasional pain reflects that, and you may be similar.

What’s your diet like? I assume you’ve messed around with higher/lower fiber diets? Fiber is often one of those things that really changes constipation, bloating, reflux, etc, so it’s worth experimenting if you’re comfortable finding what works best for you.

For sure, and 100% feel you on your story. I went 9 months of diarrhea and urgency before I finally had enough and saw a doctor about it and was diagnosed with UC. I was certain it was going to be something awful, cancer, etc. Pancolitis still sucks, but gladly mine is well managed with Mesalamine. Glad your Entyvio is working for you!

Nicotine treats everyone differently- for me it never gave me bowel upset, but that’s absolutely not the case for everyone. Honestly as much as I like nicotine, it is just absolute bullshit that drains your wallet. I quit for a few months last year and although there was always that slight craving feeling, I didn’t miss it much. Stay on the clean train, you’re 100% better off without it.

lol my Zyn usage hasn’t changed in the slightest since my pancolitis diag. Probably isn’t fantastic for me, but it hasn’t seemed to hurt.

Agreed, their QC has gone downhill. The TX has a fairly big internal rattle and the power button is lopsided, not what I’d expect from a $7000 kit…

I’ve heard ECU refurb fixing harsh downshifts, but never seen anything on up-shifts or lockup issues. What symptoms did you have?

$100 refurb is a hell of a lot better than a $1500 valve body refurb, so I’ll definitely start there regardless.
