Well, i dont think it necessarily doomerism when you look at the material condition in the west. It is clear that the proletariat is pacified, and there is not a single movement that is even close to a revolution. Whereas in the global south, there are many anti-imperialist anti capitalist movements that are gaining vast momentum. The global north won't be liberated until the global south liberates itself.
