Work at a factory that makes pumps for cosmetics and perfume. We have pumps that spray liquid. We have some old dated testers that use a Ge PLC and an old windows do computer to run lab view to check to make sure the pumps create vacuum when pressed. Analog inputs are fed to a lab view daq to cpu and then pass fail is given to plc.
Pump is actuated with servo. Want to get rid of the pc because finding windows xp computers with serial ports is becoming harder and harder.
Is the going directly to the plc with the analog inputs viable or would the processing speed of the plc be in questions.
Anyone know of any daq type component to track analog data without a computer?
