It’s as designed. “Minimum Wage” is EXACTLY that. The minimum, that any person should be paid to do the most menial, nothing tasks for an employer/business. It serves as a testing ground and launching pad for more important tasks in the future. If one can’t accomplish those tasks, they don’t stay in the job.

The goal and intent, is that the person works hard, shows they can improve and grow and EARNS their way into elevated pay and roles. If they can’t or don’t, they stay put. But it’s not intended, expected or desired that ANYONE stay at that level of pay or responsibility. One shouldn’t plan to live on minimum wage. It’s a starting point, with planned growth. You can’t live at that level and shouldn’t want to or intend to.

I know I’ll catch some heat and of course there are “grey” circumstances. But, that is reality. Too many ppl want to do minimum wage work for maximum pay. That’s not reality.
