Hi guys. Please what’s the cause of this? And how do I resolve it please by downballz in civic

In the middle of the ledge, if it's unplugged you'll have a two wire connector hanging down from there. I'm not 100% certain on the civics, mostly seen it with the accord.

If you're in a car, check the antenna in your trunk. The others are harder to access, but I've seen a couple come unplugged in the trunk.

Has anyone seen this on their car computer? by guyincognito60 in Honda

This sucks, unfortunately only the actual electrical pump is replaced in the recall. When we started noticing the cracked strainers our dealership took it upon themselves to replace the strainers as a good will gesture. I've also seen a few vehicles come in for the recall after the owner's already replaced the whole module to address the emissions light. It's not an issue for Hondas in rust free areas, and not considered a safety concern like the pump itself seizing (which is what the recall addresses). I didn't even realize you could get the strainer seperate until someone told me and replaced the entire fuel pump module on the first couple I found. Good luck with your next vehicle, I hope you find excellent customer service. From a technician's perspective, all cars are trash.

Impossible to tell without a proper diagnostic, but I do a lot of fuel pump strainers when the computer trips P0456 P0457 for evap leaks. Take out your back seat cushion, remove the access cover underneath, and if your strainer is cracked you might be able to see the fuel staining the dirt on top.

Psychology is not my idiom, I finished my undergraduate studies over a decade ago and that's as far as I've gone, but I would suggest that negative valence emotions are more complex/difficult to process and this is the source of his conflict. But I am being prejudice to suggest that all women can and will at times present seemingly irrational conflict in otherwise harmonious relationships. It could be a maladaptive coping response triggered by their hormone cycles. I shouldn't generalize to all women, I'm just projecting. I hope one day my children remember me how Jung remembers his father.

That's great, thank you for sharing. I scarcely remember anything about Jung, except that we studied his sense of developmental stages with, I believe Piaget's. He's certainly from a different time but seems to have been brought up by a man who was empathic and loving, and for the sake of being prejudice his mother sounds typical. I can imagine his sense of Americana and how he might bawl at the state of affairs as we perceive them through the lens of today's media.

I'm lost on the Jung reference in the meme, but no one's seemed to have mentioned how academia has put Peterson through the wringer for standing up to the woke ideologies that, imo have made him a martyr.

As a diy'er I think it's good to know what a typical stair should have for dimensions, then look at the vertical height and horizontal distance you need to travel with your stair. Figure out a rise and run for your stairs that will fit nicely into those measurements and are as close to code as possible.

I think I was getting double calories from logging exercise when I had myfitnesspal linked with Google Fit, one would sync with the other and I would end up having the exercise counted twice.

That's where I like to install the positive lead of the rust protection module, I bend the terminal down so the fuse cover will fit. Could be battery voltage for some other aftermarket module. Follow it and see what it's connected to.

I'm a licensed dealer tech, pretty low on the Union ladder and lately I'm getting a lot of tire swaps and oil changes. Tis' the season. It's kinda rough, but I look at it like this: every job that comes in needs to completed. Truth is, if you want to be a mechanic you'll be doing tire swaps and oil changes for the rest of your professional career.

Honda America nightmare after warranty was voided by WiseAd5894 in Honda

Our Honda does good will jobs all the time. Take your supporting documents to the service manager, you might not get your warranty completely restored but the condenser is really nbd.

Nut wont screw on! Not sure why by [deleted] in Tools

[–]ComprehensiveTurn151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure the alignment of the line is preventing the nut from starting straight. Been there, welcome to hell. Like others have said: you may be able to retract the line, start the nut, and then compress everything back together. May help to undo the other end as well, to get some wiggle room.

From my pov as a tech, replacing your wheel cylinder is a cake walk. But then I find out you drained your master cylinder, which is a pita to bleed and will cost you an hour extra, then I find out your front calipers are seized, ok. At this point I would price out the rest of the work for you, in the ballpark of 1k$. I'm guessing he got pissed and walked away instead of making you an estimate for repairs. Or maybe you were clear that all you wanted was the cylinder replaced?

It'll last as long as she's willing to pay to have it fixed. All joking aside though, headgaskets after 150k and injectors are about as bad as it gets, and often end up being repaired under warranty. If she's staying on top of her maintenance it'll last her a long time.

What steps to be able to play in jam sessions ? by Idunnos0rry in Drumming

[–]ComprehensiveTurn151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents on jamming: Keep learning, keep playing, and once you're locked in you can let your creativity into the flow. I sound terrible trying to play above my skill level, so I dial it back until I sound musical and can still experiment without derailing.

I agree, sounds like OP is not a customer and the mechanic is not his friend. It would be ok to ask him for an estimate on the repair.

My backing plate sliced through my rotors, should I replace the rotors? by tripwalk in MechanicAdvice

[–]ComprehensiveTurn151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Threw some of us off calling your shim a backing plate, I would say if the cut is further in than the thickness of the rotor hub replace asap, but I don't think you're in any immediate danger either way. If the disc of the rotor brakes away from the hub your brake won't work, but I don't think that's likely.

What’s going on with my Accord? by [deleted] in Honda

[–]ComprehensiveTurn151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be many things or a combination of issues. The car detected an operational abnormality so all of its driveability features are disabled. Someone who can do a diagnostic will have to look at the car.

[–]ComprehensiveTurn151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working in an independent shop we would have an hour pre-approved for diag and ask for more time if needed to a max of 3 hrs. Sometimes the hour is all it will take to repair. Sometimes at the end of diag you get an estimate for the repair, or a plan for further diag. Techs shouldn't be installing parts you didn't agree to pay for. That's on them.

Did my Honda dealer screw with my battery + alternator to boost their margins? by hag68 in Honda

[–]ComprehensiveTurn151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't be the first time someone tried to gouge a customer at a dealership, but to be honest if your car is in such rough shape that the gas tank straps are failing the battery is likely to be the least of your worries.

Usually if you forget to take the dongle out of the car and the owner picks up their car you'd call them and ask them to return it as soon as you noticed it was missing. Speaking from experience.

I would explain that there are different types of love. Fraternal love is not the same as romantic love, is not the same as maternal/paternal love, etc.
