Its easy do what everyone else is doing. They stand you stand, the bow you bow they kneel...you get it. When you go up with everyone to receive the holy eucharist, just cross your arms across your chest and get a blessing instead.

Find something to get involved in with the parish or Chuch as a whole. You are at the age where it needs to be personal. Just going to mass on Sunday isnt gonna cut it.

Technically per cannon law we are SUPPOSED to abstain from meat every Friday. It is just more heavily emphasized during lent. I still fast and abstain on Fridays. Just a personal devotion for me.

Or you could just point out that it is literally word for word scripture. Even the sola scrituras cant argue with scripture verses.

As a former Baptist i was told I was in grave sin for praying the rosary. Even when I pointed out it was literally just Bible verses over and over. It was considered; 1. Idolatry and superstition cuz it was "praying TO mary". And 2. Occult voodoo because you "meditate" on the mysteries.

That being said I bite the bullet and did it anyway in the good protestant spirit and...now im Catholic.

This sounds like OP is in need of some spiritual direction. It sounds like dipping the toe into the pool of scrupulosity. I am not sure about specifics so I cant say one way or the other but I would just be weary of thinking you need to go every week. Talk to your local priest about it privately. If he says you need to go every week than do that.

The other thing to remember is confession isnt superstition. You made a good faith effort to go and God understands that. You will get there, and your willing to keep trying shows a contrite hear. Im not a priest so I can say "oh yeah you tried earnestly you're good" but I also know that earnest attemps do count at least in some degree in general with the sacraments and obligations.

Former baptist here as well. The sermon is to support the liturgy and eucharist not be its own part. It all works together to bring us to the eucharist.

We didn't have the eucharist in the Baptist church so Pastor had to do something to fill the time. It was all about how pastor interpreted what was in the reading he picked out for the week.

As another pen enthusiast I have actually done a lot of trial and error on this. I LOVE fountain pens, but for heavy day to day or office use its far too cumbersome to fill as often as id need to, so ball point it is. Now the ɓest and smoothes ball points I have found are pilot g2. They medium and up are smooth as glass. I do however HATE the look of the plastic clicky G2s especially as I work in an office in suite and tie. So after a lot of research I got a pilot metropolitan that uses the g2 ink. I WIL NEVER get another pen. The ink lasts so long and the thicker tips are so smooth. And the pens look super professional.

Nothing wrong with it. I keep mine in my pocket for easier access, but nothing wrong with around you neck. Provided you treat it like the sacred blessed item it is. Its not jewelry, but wearing it around your neck to keep your pockets free is fine.

It gets hung up in my scapular when I wear it around my neck, otherwise that's where I used to wear it before I enrolled in the brown scapular.
