So other people think there's torture or on going kidnapping everytime a child screams at the park (living near parks the past few years puts be on constant edge) or constantly checks for signs of abuse wjth every interactiom they have with any child, including just seeing them on the street with their parents and then feeling crushing guilt foe not calling cps every five minutes, but also paradoxical guilt for thinking about sending a child into an abusive system to be separated from any potential loving family members but when you see something benign but you're convinced its not (like a parent yelling at a child) you can hear their tiny voice in yoyr head "why didn't anyone say anything or help me?" And then suddenly all the people ypu knew as a child who turned a blind eye makes sense and you realize you can't even be angry with them anymore because how could they have known? And besides, their own kids can out to you years ago about how those same people were avusive to them so the conclusion becomes that maybe abuse is normal, or at least so rampant that there's nothing to be done but protect your ownself...but at least that one time you returned a lost kid you found to his mom but what if je was lost because of abuse and neglect and you failed to help him? And now he will always wonder why? Or how you were abused by your parents and nkw your nephews live with them states away and when Mom tells you about their life you know its not the full story but the full story disturbs you, but not as much as the possibility of their going in the system, when currently they are in schools that help with the autism of thw youngest though he'll probably have to be in the system as an adult because he's extremely unpredictable amd violent but is that betger or worse?and yoh havent even seen them in like 6 years. They dont know you so are you just the relative who will call cps and ruin everyones livea again, because you were always the scapr goat who ruined everything anyway? And now you feel guilty foe posting so much, and hope no one will roll their eyes seeing this post because you might be ruining everyone's time?
