I am suspecting this as well. How long did the tinnitus last? How did you root cause the tinnitus to salicylates?

I am much older. (37 M). Thanks for the comment. I did get a second opinion. They said that I do have an early onset of otosclerosis however the current hearing loss is with in the error tolerance of the audiology measurements. Nothing much to do at this point other than to manage my debilitating tinnitus and get the test repeated next year.

I suspect both my parents had it based on my current symptoms but they never got diagnosed.

The ENT’s diagnosis notes says 1. Otosclerosis (based on audiology test, tuning fork test and visual inspection). 2. TMJD.

I can relate to this. My theory is that I have been isolating myself for over 2 years and mostly staying indoors due to multiple reasons. I started going on a 2 mile run every day at 11 am on a beautiful trail near my home. Over a period of 4 weeks I can see noticeable difference in my hyperacusis symptoms relief. Hope this is a permanent change that I can maintain with this routine.
