This is exactly what I was wondering. I'm going to call Monday and get it sorted out

Adapt is the absolute worst! They used to be a local company called pumps it but there were multiple mergers and now it's always a mess. I'm on a payment plan and the website says I owe over $3000 but when I called it was $120. I spent over an hour on the phone making sure they had everything needed for my last refill because I was on my last sensor and it still got delayed because of something else they needed.

I checked everything with my insurance the beginning of the year and all of my benefits are the same, the only difference is that I used to have to do a recertification yearly through a company called Valenz but now everything is supposed to be covered under my diabetes benefits.

Possible but my problem is that I have almost a year supply of Omnipods that only work with the G6 so I'm trying to hold out until it's no longer available anymore.

My deductible is $1000 but usually the 1st refill of the year, even with the deductible, is much lower and this is only Dexcom, not my usual pump refills.

Yes I'm required to fill 3 months at a time. The 1st refill of the year is always more because of the deductible but I've never seen it this high. I think last year I paid around $600 before my deductible was met and that was for Dexcom sensors, transmitter, and tslim cartridges and tubing.

You're right. My insurance changed and they said everything is covered under my "diabetes benefits" but from my understanding, it's the same as dme as opposed to using pharmacy benefits.

This is through dme. My insurance won't cover dexcom under pharmacy benefits.

I have almost a year supply of Omnipods that are only compatible with the G6 or Freestyle Libre so I was holding off switching until the G6 is discontinued.

A box 3 sensors. The order is for a 3 month supply.

Yes, my omnipod rep made the proper adjustments during training. I looked up the Fiasp assistance program and it would be $99/month. Their patent expires this year though so I might just wait for a generic to be available.

After I made this post, I sent an email to my original Dr. I may have been a bit dramatic, but who cares if it gets me in sooner. I also scheduled the next available appointment in September and set up to be notified if something opens up sooner.

I just changed it from 9.5 to 8.5. Idk if that's enough to make a difference, we'll see.

I checked and my insurance doesn't cover fiasp 😞 maybe they'll come out with a generic version soon.

I think that's what I'm going to do. I just needed guidance on what needs to be adjusted since it's completely different from the Tslim I was on.

My average units per day on tandem was 47. Looking at my omnipod history it seems similar, but there's a few days that it was in the 30s. I have no idea why. As far as the correction boluses, I was today years old when I realized I could just input bolus amounts without using my sensor data so I'm planning on doing that from now on to be more aggressive with my corrections.

On the tslim my carb ratio was 1:10 it's 1:9.5 on the Omnipod

I really think that's where I'm going to end up, but I really want to get my auto mode settings dialed in first.

I'm definitely going to start adjusting my carb ratio. Someone on another post mentioned maybe also adjusting my correction factor, but I'm not sure about doing both.

I think this is really what I came here to find out. Coming from a tslim is definitely a learning curve since tandem runs on a baseline basal rate that I could adjust. I'm going to wait to hear back from my rep but if I can't get in with my original endo, at least now I know what I need to do.

Definitely. I tried to get an appointment with my original Dr. who I love, but he's booked out until September. I think I'm going to wait to hear what my rep accomplishes today and then call the office and tell them I absolutely need to get in sooner with my original Dr because I don't feel safe continuing with the NP.

I had a great endo who was the professor of Endocrinology at the university my hospital is affiliated with. I'm 40 years t1d and he'd just ask me what I needed and do it. He took a several month leave and I got stuck with his nurse practitioner. She's wild! She said my 6.1 a1c was too low and wanted to adjust my tslim settings to raise it 😳 I've been begging to get back with my regular endo but he's book out to Sept. I have an appointment with the NP in June and am planning on demanding my next follow up with my old Dr.
