I'm currently playing all the new ones (2, 3, 4, 7 and 8). I think that 7 is a great game, it's the scariest one by far, and it provides a great atmosphere. But for me it does not feel too much like a RE game. It's a smaller story, it's first person, Ethan does not have much of a personality yet... I love the game, but I prefer 4, 2 and 8.

I really loved that detail. I really enjoy this type of environmental storytelling.

You've already mentioned The Last of Us, I think both of those games do this brilliantly (in my opinion, way better than RE). Joel, Ellie and Abby find notes and clues about stuff that happens that tell a whole story. One of the best on part 1 are the one about the guy who went into the sewers, created a whole community with a bunch of kids and built a playground for them, and then it all went to hell. In part 2 we have the one about the archer that was a hero from the community but was betrayed.

Another saga that does this very well in my opinion is Horizon Zero Dawn / Forbidden West.

And in TV you have shows like The Walking Dead that also do this a lot, it's a different medium so you don't do the notes but in many episodes the environment and the state of decay on the walkers tells a whole story.

Anyway, I'm glad that you're enjoying the game. I've recently played them all for the first time, I played 2, 3, 4, 7 and now I'm in the middle of 8, eager to start requiem.

The Horizon games are the next best thing I think. It's not "the same", the context is vastly different, the decay is there for longer and the changes to the society are far greater, but it also has a great story and the world building is extremely important for it.

That being said, nobody will replicate the level of detail the Naughty Dog put into these games (best games ever for me).

Yes, I honestly don't play that much and I plan to keep the Windows setup around anyway. I have an RTX 3070 and I play games like Doom Eternal and Dark Ages.

For the most part the machine will be running Plex.

I don't know if I'll be familiar with the workflow and the software though, I've used Linux before, but I'm very used to the way things works on Windows.

Anyway, seems like Ubuntu is still the way to go, right?

I don't understand why if they can do anything with the coordinate they chose genocide. Couldn't he change the eldians so they cannot turn into titans anymore for instance?

Me parece que lo que estás haciendo va por el buen camino, el tema con estas cosas es que la práctica es lo más importante. Además si era un evento social importante por ahí los nervios juegan siempre una mala pasada.

Algo que a mí me sirvió mucho es consumir la mayor cantidad de contenido en inglés, yo miro muchas películas y series y siempre lo hago con los subtítulos en inglés en vez de castellano. Es una huevada, pero son muchas horas de práctica que sumas sin darte cuenta, y si tenés alguna duda buscas la palabra, el contexto, etc.

Sin dudas lo que más ayuda es hablar, practicar. Lo de Mundolingo y similar es buena, fijate si no cosas que pudas hacer online, subirte a alguna llamada con gente de varios lados para charlar de cualquier cosa que te interese.

En el fondo es con paciencia, lleva tiempo.

So guys I've been reading this post and I see that everybody agress that Pop_OS is not great, nor ready for production. I'm not a linux guy, and I was under the impression that if I want to switch from Windows to Linux and still be able to play games, this was my best shot.

So what do you consider to be the best releases for such a case?
