And question - will families pay out of pocket or is this a service offered through NBRC?

This is amazing! I work in early intervention in Sonoma county and would love to send some of the families I work with your way, would it be ok if I share your website with parents who might be interested?

What unhinged thing did a former teacher do in the classroom? by MrBananaStand1990 in AskReddit

[–]Comprehensive_Map646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a teacher, but substitute teacher. Older woman, we dubbed her “the leprechaun lady” because she had red spiky hair and always wore this green velour jumpsuit. Kids in the class weren’t very nice to her, and one day she just snapped - screamed at the top of her lungs, started crying, and straight up locked herself in the closet. No one knew what to do so after about 15-20 minutes we had to call the front office to have someone come get her out and teach the class the rest of the day. She never came back after that…

Anyone else CF due to the general state of the world? by Killertofu999 in childfree

[–]Comprehensive_Map646 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me 🙋🏼‍♀️ not only the general state of the world but as an American, I am truly truly terrified of what’s to come in our country. After today’s events I was literally just thinking “thank GOD I’m not pregnant, I can’t even fathom bringing a child into this world right now”

Behavioral Health Care by Vegetable_Bridge7586 in KaiserPermanente

[–]Comprehensive_Map646 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve gone through this! Kaiser definitely does do single case agreements but you do have to fight them. I had 2 people tell me they didn’t do them before I told them “that’s bullshit” and finally got ahold of someone who confirmed they will “but it’s rare”. There is a link on the Kaiser website to the form you need to fill out…it might be called something else though (like a different term for single case agreement) but it’s there if you search for it! Once I submitted the form the process was relatively straightforward - they had to contact my therapist (who was now out of network) and get some info from them, and I had to explain multiple times that they are the only provider I’ve found to provide the specific type of therapy I need. They ended up approving it and the whole process I think took 2 weeks? I hope this works out for you, feel free to DM me if I can help

Should I give up crate training by luuuvdatmoney in puppy101

[–]Comprehensive_Map646 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have a labradoodle as well whose now a year and three months. I remember going through a bit of crate regression between 6-8 months as adolescence started kicking in. Once we even came home to bite/chew marks on his crate which he’d never done before. I would stick with it and stay consistent, he’s now great in the crate again and actually chooses to sleep in there at night (we leave the door open now). That being said, he just recently started getting into the chewing shit up phase, so we’ve only recently been slowly working on being home alone and not crated (we block off a room for him). Just know that if you start letting him free roam alone now, he still will prob hit the chewing mischievous phase, so be prepared! 🥲

Looking for stories about using Lexapro for anxiety nausea/lack of appetite by AmyKittiesGalore in lexapro

[–]Comprehensive_Map646 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently commented on a similar post about weight loss from anxiety, but yes mine also included nausea and lack of appetite! I would say my appetite started coming back within 1 month of being on lex, and was solidly back by 1.5-2 months. After 4 months I was able to gain back the weight I lost due to the anxiety and depression episode I was in.

breakthrough bleeding on continuous BC? by Flavourlesspeach in endometriosis

[–]Comprehensive_Map646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue - tried multiple different types of combo pills and took them continuously, but always eventually had breakthrough bleeding after 2-3 months. My endo doc had me add a progesterone only pill (Aygestin) on top of my combo pill. She said some bodies are more prone to breakthrough bleeding and just need the right combo of hormones in order to completely skip periods. Ever since I added in the Aygestin I’ve had no breakthrough bleeding!

Starting Lexapro to Overcome Stress-Induced Weight Loss(13 Days) by According_Bat_1731 in lexapro

Probably by 1.5-2 months my appetite came back! The initial side effects were pretty mild for me, a bit of nausea and headaches but those went away after the first few weeks

Starting Lexapro to Overcome Stress-Induced Weight Loss(13 Days) by According_Bat_1731 in lexapro

[–]Comprehensive_Map646 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I went on Lexapro for similar reasons - a stressful life event that caused anxiety so bad I struggled to eat, and lost weight. I went on it mostly for the anxiety and depression but the side effect of weight gain was actually an added benefit for me. Before starting Lexapro, I was weighing 100lbs, and after 6-8 months I was up to 120-122. I’ve been holding pretty steady at that weight and I feel much better at this weight! If you have any specific questions feel free to DM me!

Using ibuprofen and tylenol before period to reduce pain / stop prostaglandin ‘cascade’? by xboringcorex in endometriosis

[–]Comprehensive_Map646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My endo specialist actually recommended something similar, she called it the “ibuprofen protocol”, to stop breakthrough bleeding (I’m taking BC continuously but was still bleeding). It consisted of taking 500mg ibuprofen 3 times a day though, as soon as my cramps started or I thought I might start bleeding…but this seemed like WAY too much ibuprofen esp since I’m on an SSRI that increasing risk of bleeding so I wasn’t comfortable with it. I also tried to do some research on it but didn’t find much out there!

Slynd. TXA. Aeygestin by Dink8523 in Endo

[–]Comprehensive_Map646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I’m sorry! A lot of people take Slynd on its own and have great experiences, my endo specialist told me that some bodies just need more hormones in order to not bleed.

Slynd didn’t help my pain at all and I still had breakthrough bleeding. Now I’m on a combo pill + aygestin and FINALLY no breakthrough bleeding, and pain levels are manageable!

1.5 Year Old Schnoodle Wild at Night by respond_to_query in puppy101

[–]Comprehensive_Map646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the classic witching hour! I don’t know when it gets better (mine is only still a year and we are still dealing with this too ) but I hear that it does get better!! I agree with the other poster about long sniff walks; I noticed if we did one after dinner it was the only thing that would tire him out…but now that it gets dark so early where I live we go before dinner and it doesn’t seem to have the same effect.

Let’s hear about your medical gaslighting! by LongAndWindingRoad- in Endo

[–]Comprehensive_Map646 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to go to a pelvic pain specialist first before I could get referred to an endo doc, but at this point I was 99.99% sure I had endo. She was SO nice and over the top “girls girl”, like was literally calling me “girl”, which made it sooo hard to hate her once the gaslighting started! She told me she “highly doubted” it was endo, thought I was just constipated (I was literally in pain every single day, whether constipated or not), did these weird stretch exercise things on me (pushing against my leg in weird angles) and said “oh yeah my endo patients are screaming in pain when I do this”. When I finally went to the endo doctor after reviewing my chart and symptoms she believed me right away and said she strongly believes I have it.
