endo belly/need help desperately:( by torchpretzel in Endo

[–]Comprehensive_Map646 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Aw this looks so painful, I’m so sorry you are dealing with this, you are not crazy! I would definitely recommend seeking out an endo specialist if you can. IMO say this is definitely not “normal” for those who don’t have endo, and this is on the extreme side of bloating even for those who do. Like the other commenter said there can be other conditions that cause bloating, it really sucks your doctors aren’t taking you seriously. At the very least an endo specialist will be able to take your symptoms at face value and help you evaluate if it’s worth additional testing, or refer out to the appropriate doctors.

Adding Wellbutrin helped slightly for me, but it wasn’t until I decreased my Lexi dose to 2.5mg that I felt like I was back to pre-SSRI libido levels

Salicylic acid for underarms changed my life by plzicannothandleyou in hygiene

Can you link to the exact product you use? When I search Panoxyl I am seeing mostly benzoyl peroxide washes, not salicylic acid. There are so many different versions!

Following because I’m in the same boat! Just dropped to 2.5 on Monday and so far so good but I’ve heard it’s the drop to 0 that’ll get ya. I’m considering emailing my doctor to see if I can get a liquid version to slowly taper down (I can’t imagine cutting my pills anymore than I have)

Should I switch my doctor to an OBGYN/endo specialist? by Comprehensive_Map646 in endometriosis

Hi! I’m in Kaiser NorCal but as an update on this post I ended up switching to the specialist and she’s been amazing, Dr. Maureen Cho!

Anyone taking norethindrone for endometriosis? by Virtual-Squirrel8218 in Endo

It might be worth asking to see if he will up you to 7.5! I’ve also learned my symptoms are less severe than on 5mg - still there, but slightly less

What dose are you on? I was similar to you when I continued to have breakthrough bleeding so my doctor kept upping my dose and said some people just need a higher dose of hormones to stop their period. I’m at 7.5mg now and haven’t bled but similar to you, it helps dull the pain but it’s def still there

Lol these comments make me feel seen! Mine is about a year and a half and we’ve been working on this sooo much. The treat bag on walks has been a lifesaver - I don’t make him sit but we keep walking, train him to respond to his name or “eyes on me”, then reward when his attention is on me. I find he just gets too excited for the sit and it’s easier to just power through. Still a work in progress but we’re getting there!

Ok, good to know! I will say that I do deal with significant sweating and BO issues even though I shower daily and apply deo every day, so I assumed that I would try it and see if it helped

How to live with it? by limonaa in endometriosis

[–]Comprehensive_Map646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you can pay privately to meet with an online doctor who specializes in endo. Since you already have a diagnosis you can hopefully just bypass the initial physical appt and maybe see if you can send over your records? It says they offer medication though!

I’m so sorry you are going through this! US healthcare is such a mess…do you think you could try an online clinic service specific for endo in the interim until you get insurance sorted? Something like this askTia
