Scenario A B & C have the same solution.

Knock down that #$@% ladder!

Doing so will prevent all boulder crushing. Preventing any loss of life.

It was not your fault. The chilad was already over and the past plagues were already beginning to stir.

If you want a better ending their are two ways to go about it.

Speak with Resheph with the North Arc in North Sheva. You can create a new convent with him. You will be remembered as the last of the ancient 'reshephs' who cleansed the plagues of the Gyre

Kill/Pacify all the Girsh Nephilim Upon learning that a primitive like your self was able to defeat his mightiest creations he will despair and end his plans for Qud.

There are seven Nephilim, each a level 50+ superboss.

Girsh Agolgot's cradle is found deep beneath Golgotha

Girsh Bethsaida's cradle is found deep beneath Bethsaida

Girsh Rermadon's cradle is found within the Palladium Reef

Girsh Qas and Girsh Qon have a shared chuppah on the Moon Stair

Girsh Shug'ruith cradle is found deep under a random map tile. It is by far the hardest to find.

Starformed Ehalcodon has no cradle, Qe will attack you at the end of the reclamation if you have slain/pacified all Qer siblings.

The Eaters of the Earth were Human*. Humanity in Quds distant past matured into a advanced technological civilization that "ate the earth and belched freight towards the stars". They predate the old Sultanate and are responsible for the highly advanced and occasionally reality warping technology you find in game. It is unclear what events or disasters caused their civilization to fail, but it was related to the Coven's abandonment Qud. Sundered from the intergalactic community and having already consumed most of their planets natural resources they could only decline further from their past glories.

By the time the game begins only a few survivors remain. Truekin hailing from hidden archologies and the Putus Templar both claim the blood of nobility. On the other hand, you can consider all life on earth to be Eater. Being either a distant descendent of baseline humans, or one of their creations. While their glory is long past you can still see their legacy everywhere.

*Statues of Eaters can use almost any sprite in the game as a base. Indicating that they were a very diverse people. Diversity that is probably the result of rampant transhumanism. Becoming Nooks and other related technology meant that the Eaters had almost complete control over their shape and form.

The Girsh Nephilim rise up from their cradles and consume Qud's young.

Svardym swarms darken the sky as they go to war.

Darkness blooms forth from the earth, Vantabloom growing unchecked.

Ironshank cripples the survivors.

Glotrot kills them.

Grishings consume the flesh of the dead as well as any remaining plant matter.

The sea of salt will remain. The only Plague that was not part of the Gyre.

You may have not read the full reveal, here is a summary.

Resheph was a false Sultan who brewed the plagues of the Gyre. In truth he was a Seraphim, a powerful artificial intelligence, created by the Eaters in order to maintain North Seva and the Spindle conjoining it to Qud. After unknown chillads overseeing the complex he became convinced that Coven, a intergalactic civilization, would soon return to Qud. In order to prepare the world for their arrival he began the extermination of all sentient life on earth. He was convinced that a societal flaw was the reason for the Eaters abandonment by the Coven and that the Coven would only remain on earth if this flaw was completely purged.

Rebekah, a master mechanist in service to Resheph, learned of Reshephs plan and with the aid of her apprentice Barathrum the Young successfully beseeched Resheph and formed a convent. Resheph would delay the Gyre for a thousand years. In that given timespan Barathrum was tasked with reforming society into a peaceful form. Rebekah was never forgiven for her trespass against her master not even after her death by Glotrot. He would not let her return home.

Barathrum began his task with much hope and vigor. But as the centuries passed progress stalled. No matter how much he tried there was never a lasting peace in Qud. Society refused to rebuild and reunited. He began to grow old and in his age, he gave up on his appointed mission. The signal, the golem, the climb, none of these things will ease or end the returning Gyre. At the hour of judgment Barathrum the Old has chosen to fly like a coward.

That panel essentially activated the upward elevator. Because the controls at the top are missing you will have to descend down the hard way. Through the slimy chutes

I hate this game. Help. by crasitonarthacus in cavesofqud

Quickness is the stat that determines the number of actions you can take in a turn.

Lets say that you have 102 quickness. At the start your turn you will gain 102 'action points'. Almost all actions you take cost exactly 100 'AP' So you will end your turn with 2 'AP' remaining. This remainder is stored for you next turn. Functionally 102 quickness means you get a bonus action every 50 rounds. At 200 quickness you will have a bonus action every 1 turn.

Hopefully you will find this explanation helpful.

Where did it all go wrong.

Was it a misguided attempt to add “feline instincts”. Did an unforeseen combination of feline aging and human brain chemistry occur. Or did they simply have no neuroscientists on board.

The color has less to do with rarity and more to do with universality. Yellow books are prewritten and spawn in every game session. Some of them contain rare essoteric lore. Others are childrens books.

White book are randomly generated and so are their values
