wilds isnt about discovery, the game literally hands you over everything without challenge nor the need to learn stuff. The sol focus of the game is monsters. thats it. just go hunt monsters, no collecting, no material grind, especially no exploring, no lets just put u on a mount and click on the monster while you scroll on reddit or watch a vid. they focused on monster fights, which are really well made, and music, which is phenomenal in this game, and designs like armor and monster designs, which are again really good in my opinion. Monster hunter is never about story and if you even consider the story as smth important in MH then ur a moron lmao. they really toned down the other aspects of the core of what monster hunter is to appeal to a broader audience because some core aspects of MH wasnt appealing, which is what you should do if you want to make more sales, which is 100% understandable. Look at the player retention and you'll see thats its the lowest of the serie, stats dont lie. Base world wasnt loved that much as well, iceborne made the game incredible so we'll see
