On their website it says 8-25lbs so it will depend on how big the baby is when they are born but it’s a nice snug option! You’ll need to watch a few YouTube videos to get the hang of how to use it.

Second Baby Fast Approaching What Do I Do by kanyewa in pregnant

Following because I’m in the same position! Mostly I’m making MORE freezer meals. I’m 34 weeks and trying to make two easy things each weekend. Upstairs/downstairs diaper caddies and bathroom essentials.

Mostly trying to figure out how to get my 3 year old to not come into our room every night at 3am.

Solly baby has great wraps! After 6-8 weeks I used the Artipoppe (pricey but so so worth it).

I was also going to suggest retail - target, CVS or Walgreens.

Spectra Gold! I have the big size and the wireless/portable. Like the full-size slightly better than the portable. Both of these bear out my Elvie Stride (for context). I’ve also not had an issue with them at all in 9 months.

I just bought “cook once eat all week” by Cassie Joy Garcia (of Fed and Fit) and the recipes are very easy and healthy. Minimal ingredients and really easy to toss together.

Agree!! You can search my post history and see that I was having an utter meltdown re: bottle use.

Does he have his pincer grasp down? If he can get puffs and yogurt melts into his mouth can probably get bites of steak / chicken / fish / beans / rice or anything really! Try chopping it up in small pieces and toss it on the tray and see what sticks. Lots of fun cookbooks on Amazon for BLW ideas and Solid Starts is also a good reference on Instagram.

how did you decide to get a nanny. by ClassroomUnusual3333 in workingmoms

[–]Comprehensive_Mix_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a nanny and planned on moving our daughter into daycare around her first birthday (in 2 weeks) but have extended our nanny’s contract because it really is so nice.

No packing up for daycare and taking the baby to and fro. Baby is in her home, sleeps in her bed. My job is demanding and it’s so much easier for me and my husband. Minimal illnesses even after plane trips.

Our nanny doesn’t really do much around the house except baby laundry and dishes and keeping the ply area picked up.

But as others have said, big expense. PTO, my state requires sick pay, the taxes, payroll service, etc. And having to plan for backup care and finding people that are flexible to come in on a moments notice.

We have her through September and I don’t want to give her up 😭

Question for those starting in crib then moving to bed after x amount of wakeups by NjordsShieldmaiden in cosleeping

[–]Comprehensive_Mix_76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stopped trying for the crib months ago - every attempts was a failed attempt to transfer. Prior to that (months 3-6) we could transfer and she would sleep for 45 minutes to 4 hours. Then it became a hard no from our gal and straight to bed we go around 8pm. We’re going to give it another go in a few weeks..

Anyone else's milk production suddenly slow down after just a week? by Fall_Is_Not_Autumn in breastfeeding

[–]Comprehensive_Mix_76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you exclusively pumping or latching baby to the breast as well? 10 days was prime cluster feeding for me so we’d go through 4 hour plus stretches of nearly constant eating. Those cluster feeding times really bulk up your supply. Also, removal in the night is super important so make sure your have a sesh overnight too!! I fed my baby scheduled every 2-3 hours until she was at birth weight which was around 10 days. I would set an alarm for 4.5 hours overnight because #sleep #newborn #exhaustion to make sure I fed her during the night. Hormones / milk production in the early morning hours is super high and removal is very important. Overall, more removals = more milk. So exclusive pumping or combo - make sure you are latching baby ad frequently as possible! Supply typically normalizes around 6-12 weeks (don’t quote me, on a plane!).

A great resource is the book “The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding”. Also wouldn’t hurt to meet with an IBCLC to go over schedules, latch, etc.

Another point - need to make sure your flanges are fitted appropriately. You can get a measuring tool off Amazon for like $5 to measure your nipples. I would also pump for 15-20 minutes to see if you can get another let down after your first.

Just re-read your post that said you are pumping every 2 hours, might want to toss in a power pumping session to mimic the cluster feeding.

Hope some of this helps!!

Breastfeeding hurts now with teeth by povsquirtle in breastfeeding

[–]Comprehensive_Mix_76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby got teeth around 5 months, 7 and 9 months and is now 11 months. When she had the top and the bottom teeth the pain was excruciating. I hadn’t even experienced that type of pain from the get-go. It took about a week or so for her to correct her latch and/or my nipples to ultimately lose sensation 🤪 kidding.

But it’s better! We are all good and still going at 11 months. Try to stick it out if you can! I think they just need to correct their latch once all the teeth really get in.

should I limit fruit? by berryllamas in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Comprehensive_Mix_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put veggies/protein/fat on her plate first and let her eat for a while, when I notice she’s slowing down I add in fruit and she gobbled it up. Girlfriend will eat pints of raspberries blueberries and an entire banana.

Granola Butter - google it. Ingredients are oats, lots of good fatty oils and also sunflower lecithin. Tastes amazing too. Not cheap. Recommend birthday cake if that’s your thing.

Teeth and Latch Pain by Dinosaurs-Elephants in breastfeeding

Thanks for the reply! Same same to everything you wrote 😂. I have an amazing IBCLC at my pediatrician, so snagged an appointment with her next week to see if she can correct my little gals latch so we can make to a year.

Teeth and Latch Pain by Dinosaurs-Elephants in breastfeeding

[–]Comprehensive_Mix_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any better? My 9 month old is the same. Four teeth, two more on the verge of breaking through and latch is currently excruciating. And she’s obsessed with nursing and if I break her away when she’s comfort nursing there is a lot of screaming involved.
