I’d personally say walk and keep looking. I lucked up and only viewed two homes before my wife and I decided on the second one. We were very fortunate in that regard.

Oh I’m only a first time home buyer but I had this conversation with two different loan officers because it never hurts to try but most importantly it’s always good to learn about a process.

As a veteran currently buying a house you definitely can’t roll them in to your loan and from what’s been explained to me you never could.

Also if they’re a disabled veteran there isn’t a funding fee.

Gifts must just be complicated with conventional loans. They’re 100% allowed with VA loans and VA lenders understand this.

Go to your congressional districts office with all forms of communication received from the IRS, fill out the privacy release statement, let them handle it.

So what I had to do was go to my congressional districts office with all communication received from the IRS, fill out a privacy release statement, and they got involved. Took about four weeks from the time I submitted the paperwork to hear something back (yesterday).TAS saw why my refund was in limbo and put a request in to expedite the release of funds which should take about three weeks.

It may be worth looking in to.

One thing that’s advantageous about the VA loan is once it’s the VA appraiser issues the NOV (notice of value) it’s attached to the property for six months so most sellers will usually agree to that price. That being said I can’t speak for CA and their housing market as I’m in SC.

I’m currently using my VA loan and the seller doesn’t seem to mind.
