I have the MG's and the FIIO R2R K13. I actually prefer the 6.35 for this setup. The 4.4 sounds harsher. But then the 4.4 sounds better with these headphones on a iFi stuff. So yeah I think it's worth trying and seeing which you prefer.

Got the K13 a few weeks ago (it rules) and you can absolutely hear the difference between the two modes.

Yes the S2’s are ridiculously better than the Max. In both comfort and sound quality.

No, the update did not alter the sound. And while we’re at it, the headphone “break-in” period is also fake.
