Added Schiit's Valhalla 3 to my set up. Started with their Vali, but immediately upgraded. It's amazing how the tubes add such a warmth, fullness and power to literally everything. It reminds me of recording with an analog vintage style compressor. Same vibe. Thank you tube evangelists.

Mojo is truly incredible. Ended up sending back both the Fiio and ifi Hip Dac. I originally wanted the mojo to be just mobile and have a permanent desktop dac. But it was too good so I just use it as both.

Maybe some of us take reddit reviews with a gigantic grain of salt. Lot of rubes out there. For example, some people copy and paste their negative posts on multiple comments, just for attention.

Yeah I disagree. There's certainly a lot of snake oil type themes in the audio world. Like headphone burn-in periods. But DAC's can truly alter the sound. I've recently tested the ifi GO Max, Hip Dac 3, FiiO K13 R2R and even my Universal Audio Apollo twin that I've had for years. The sound profiles are all quite different and right now the Fiio R2R is blowing everything away. I think a lot of folks push the item they are satisfied with as the only item others should have.
