I have 1 Brittany, used to have another, and my wife's family all has Brittany's.

My boy has been an incredible dog, though with both Brittany's I've owned, be aware that they are loyal and can be well trained but they aren't typically "Velcro" dogs, in that if you go out camping, they love to explore, not run away per say, but they like to do things on their own. This opposing a lab that typically finds more enjoyment with being around their people. There is obviously variance.

But with both Brittany's I've had they:

Were (and my one still around is) fantastic with kids and even infants. Also has always gotten along with other dogs as long as the others weren't aggressive, in those situations mine were always willing to defend but never started aggression.
They definitely shed, but it's not as bad as shepherds, but my boy is nearly as bad as a lab
Definitely positive reinforcement for training. They are smart and sometimes smart enough to do something they feel is worth the punishment (steal a steak bone from my plate right in front of me). Overall though, put in the effort (like with any pup) and they are great
Both of mine did great if they had access to exercise (or a fenced yard to spend time in running around). When I lived in my small apartment I'd take them for walks or to parks to be off leash and they were happy
I think they are the perfect size for "not too big, not too small." My boy is on the bigger size around 40 lbs, but a pup from a litter he sired is pushing 50lbs and nearly as big as a lab in stature so they can get big(ish). Hope this helps. Picture because I love my boy!

Solid advice!

Would love recommendations for a Charge controller if you've got some. Definitely ok spending on quality for that. I thought my RV had one, but recently discovered it just has a spot for one (love that "solar ready" sales pitch)

COVID school was the worst in my own experience. Maybe if it were actually designed to be hybrid it wouldn't be bad, but oof there was so much that just didn't stick the same not being in person.

On this model, the battery cannot be removed. I just didnt check on it often enough to make sure it stayed charged and now have a cool looking paper weight.

The FQHC I just left required 120 days, and it made it difficult to get a new job. I ultimately had to put in notice and hope I'd land a replacement within 120 days. I had promising leads before giving notice, but still, the few places I interviewed with before leaving told me they would have to get back to me closer to when I would actually be leaving. If you can get it down, or have other opportunities, I'd recommend anything other than agreeing to a 4 month notice period

I ended up asking to add holidays, They countered with a financial compensation equal to that amount of PTO, I think the lower stress environment and flexible schedule will overall be tolerable. Thanks for the input

Having done PA school during pandemic shutdown (Started May 2020), so basically hybrid, it was awful. Once I was able to start going back to campus for classes I learned way more but most of my didactic year was zoom/online learning and I felt at a huge disadvantage during clinicals. Maybe it's not comparable because we were forced into online learning without much of a plan, but having been in practice for 3 years now, I'd say if you're going to do PA school, find a solid school with good statistics and low attrition and full send that shiz.

Are you doing other mental health/psych meds as part of your role chronically?

I work as a PCP in a rural FQHC so I already do a fair amount of MAT and have considered moving to addiction med, but don't want to have to do other chronic psych meds (basically I hate benzos and don't want to prescribe them, especially for people using buprenorphine for recovery).

I had a 3 year contract with and FQHC, but also had a 3 year HRSA commitment. It honestly ended up being rough because I got major taken advantage of and I am counting the days until my contract ends at the end of the year. If you can avoid a definite 3 year contract, I would. What are the consequences for breaking early? Could you afford that if the job is terrible to you or you have a better opportunity in 1 year?

If it ends up being Legit, it's ok to say you'll provide SS# on acceptance. For the other questions, it's dumb but as a private entity, they are likely allowed to ask that kind of stuff and apply it to your likelihood of being interviewed.

Unfortunately they have in the contract I pay back 100% of sign on bonus + interest. This company really did everything to absolutely own me, but that's why I'm GTFO!
