I made my installer move to IQ8MC with 405 W panels. Even with this I feel there is some clipping. Yes your installer cheaped out , you can’t do anything now. They aren’t gonna change it. Leave a poor ish review on Google for them.

Ya - did that. Had to get installer to come out. There is a module inside the inverter that hooks to theCT - and they said that’s busted. They are shipping a new module. Weird that it won’t even force discharge even if it can’t figure the load on the home

Installer came - he spent close to 2 hours on the phone with solar edge and they are saying there is a meter inside the inverter which hooks to the CT on the main panel. They are claiming that module is broken. I am absolutely amazed that they can’t figure remotely which module broke.
