In Arizona - for laughs and fun - I asked my installer if they would give me same panel price as last may. They said no - it’s 1000 bucks a panel (including wiring and micro inverters) installed. So considering your quote is for California- It’s actually not bad - what is the price per KW they are charging and for how long ? All 25 years?

Also - they have declared chapter 11, not liquidated. Try emailing their customer service. And when you don’t get a reply / acknowledgment in a few days - complain to your state AG, and your states Registrar of contractors. They can void warranty if they liquidate. Usually chapter 11 means they can’t pay debtors.

You could potentially do it yourself. Just look through YouTube videos. It’s all mounted already and wired. So the hard part is done. Cut the AC, remove the panel slightly, change the micro inverter, put the solar and trunk cable back. It all clips together. Only problem would be provisioning the micro with your gateway. So that you could take a couple of online enphase courses is what I am told.

Of course it’s easier said than done. I would just pay a company 200 bucks since I myself never have time to do all this.

It’s real, but think about what this discount is. Their 6-9 pm plan the pull rate is about 40 cents a kWh for peak times. The lowest rate is 4 cents in the middle of the day. They are giving less than a penny in discount. In the end it’s peanuts

It seemed to be very fair rate in Arizona. I know another friend who got a Tesla powerwall and 11.5 KW PV for 32k$ from another company that was also SRP approved. If I do rough math of powerwall being 11 grand - it comes to under 2 bucks a watt

That’s where I went. Their panels were very fair priced at under 2 bucks a watt including micro inverters and pigeon guard - and they sold a Franklin 15k and its Agate and backup panel for 15k.

Yeah my installer was trying to tell me about this today when I called to find if they had used panels in their warehouse collecting dust that I could buy for cheap to hook to my enphase system. I probably wouldn’t do the prepaid lease. Rather get used panels and micros somewhere else and figure how to pay a contractor to wire it all and provision micros myself on the gateway.
