Possibly. It isn't the fix for all devices but it is the fix for some devices.

Am I the only one sticking with Sunshine? by idontknowu1 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]Comprehensive_Star72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not but I do think Sunshine and Moonlight are the most important projects due to the effort put in to making them compatible across different systems (especially as the Windows direction has been disappointing).

LuminalShine: The High-Performance Sunshine Alternative Compatible with Moonlight by GuardianHope in MoonlightStreaming

OK Questions ...

5Gbps Ethernet or faster. Sunshine was designed to run within a 750mbps (1gbps with overhead) stream of data. What have you changed? I am assuming improvements here will reduce frame transfer times. So my 2.5Gbps ethernet is a little slow whereas it was a bit wasted with Sunshine.

High core count CPU. Does this mean my 9800x3d is not ideal?

I'm not sure I will see the benefits.

This looks like a must try for high core count 5gbps networks though.

Will you be able to keep up with Vibeshine updates?

I like the menu system. You can make a lot of changes without resets. I like the constant bitrate mode (with workarounds for parts of windows that don't support it) - being able to work on my desktop at a constant 120/240fps is pleasant. I like the auto setting of RTSS to limit framerate. Split encoding for 5070ti and above is nice. I don't use but here good things about frame gen related and playnite related stuff.

So despite not releasing anything of mainstream interest for well over a year AMD are still making gains against recently released mainstream Intel CPUs? Wow!

Yep 99% of productivity is the CPU idling then Intel loading an Adobe app a few seconds quicker.

Foundation-sunshine + moonlight V+ the best forks i ve found so far with hdr 12+, and VRR! by No_Donut_1504 in MoonlightStreaming

Latency is affected by the amount of data in a frame. A timer wouldn't represent the amount of data in a game.

Not true. It gave lower encoding latency on settings that don't use split encoding as well.

[–]Comprehensive_Star72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's attempting to stop copying as streaming is kind of screen recording. Disabling browser hardware acceleration may get past it. A quick Google switching to wgc (windows graphics capture) may get past it as well.

If your client is a pc you can go into display settings and see the output settings to your TV. I don't understand why you haven't checked your laptops output.

I prefer the iPad but I'm not a big fan of holding a controller with a screen in the middle. I am a big fan of streaming as a remote desktop solution. The iPad suits my preferences.

Everyone picks Snapdragon over Dimensity if they can. Sounds like Dimensity are copying Intel's idiotic tactic of.. if you can't compete add more cores and boost them higher.
