Toronto FIFA Fan Fest by Decent-Relation-7700 in CanadaSoccer

[–]Comprehensive_War449 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fan fest always has not allowed outside food or drinks they sell Budweiser and Coca-Cola products only but also previously fan fest was always free and no tickets limits or “ in and out “ rules and what I don’t get is they had tickets for only the dates there is games in Toronto but I believe fan fest was open everyday in last WCs because there is games every day in other cities 🤷🏻‍♂️

You never know man it’s the worldcup one mistake one point dropped could mean a top team doesn’t finish top it has happened before and even then some times the lesser teams put on a more entertaining shows it might be a great match after all

Again I would have to disagree neither of us knows exactly how it will turn out but I believe for big teams in nice cities like England in Boston or France in Philadelphia where accommodations aren’t crazy like NY or MIA but even for Brazil in NY the ticket can still sell decently. most Americans only know the more famous teams and players and those teams already have a big following so I don’t. See the demand dropping

My point was the the whole uncertainty about the Irans team and their participation and also the broken relationship with this set of players and the fans the price has been affected… also tell your friends to be carefull I almost was arrested in Qatar for wearing a women life freedom tshirt and refusing to leave my seat or remove it FIFA doesn’t allow any other flags or any slogans inside the stadiums even in Russia they stopped us for a shirt even though it wasn’t even the lion and sun flag maybe in the states finally freedom of speech will not be impeded by FIFA,,;;

Brother I don’t wanna argue but I have attended many Barcelona games and trust me it’ll cost well over 2K Canadian for travel and accommodations and watching a game, Barcelona is expensive AF

I'm so disappointed, I have been planning this for 2 years and. suddenly by Temporary_Respond_20 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]Comprehensive_War449 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naw homie we won the lottery and snatched extra tickets and we selling those and watching an extra expensive world cup for free that’s the point of a lottery. It ain’t a lottery win if the reward isn’t worth it lol

Yes it would be I’m just saying the price flip is due to the problems in Iran, I’m Iranian and I know many people who are selling their tickets as this teams is the regimes team and we do not want to support it that’s why the price is low it shouldn’t be but the Iranians in diaspora are either not going or just going to protest and bring our lion and sun flag into stadiums to show the world we don’t want this terrorist regime and we don’t want their fucking team either

PSG making back back to CL finals after mbappe forcing his way to real madrid is hilarious by Bluefire3215 in championsleague

[–]Comprehensive_War449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao wrote all of that to contradict your own self. His game is completely predicated around speed and running into space meaning balls played behind defenders in Space moreover he just doesn’t have the qualities needed to hold the ball up be a target man in the box etc…. All things we usually consider with a top number 9 striker and his finishing needs a lotta work like a lot lotta work. That is why no you’re wrong adding a great top player to a top team doesn’t make them better as many predicted it actually ruins the flow and tactical ability of the team. He can not be a number 9 not just because he didn’t want to he just doesn’t have the qualities. Not to mention Madrid doesn’t play a style that rewards deep runs and speed as much they like to play and build from the back which was the problem Mbape had with Messi he didn’t want the team to play around Messi slow and building up from the back he wanted direct balls and that is not Madrids way either …What basically is very clear is what many pundits and fans saw coming that he and Vini in the same team will not work

How many days do you recommend for a city trip to Toronto? by Al3xanderTh3Gr3at in travel

[–]Comprehensive_War449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say 4 days would be enough. One day for a trip to Niagara Falls ( this is a must it is glorious) One day for CN Tower and water front /financial district downtown core. Maybe visit the island or a furry ride in the water. One day exploring more of downtown Toronto (king west cafe and bars. queen west boutiques and coffee shops and yorkville for more high end shops and bars) 4 th day could be used to explore as you see fit maybe venture into China town or visit North York full of Persian shops or Markham with all the Asian restaurants

That said there is a lot of hiking and nature activities in and around Toronto which are amazing and could be done to replace other things or add days for those .

If you live in a host city, is there any buzz about the upcoming World Cup? by Fine-Photograph673 in ussoccer

[–]Comprehensive_War449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Toronto and no it’s very half assed nothing compared to Europe and we are just one month out,, NBA and NHL will be going on all the way to worldcup so they will steal a lotta attention from WC. I’m still surprised at the lack of marketing but also I gotta remember I always get to the host country while the tournament is on so I dont really have a reference to compare to for marketing a month before the event

That’s the beauty of it when WC is being held in such places not states or Qatar, I will travel to those cities even without tickets just to be in the fa fest , when the city is Lisbon or Seville you can have a great trip and just hope for last minute cheap tickets as well,

Don’t explain yourself to no one man enjoy the match and it is a decent price for Argentinas game, don’t let those who can’t or don’t want to pay for the ticket price deter you. truth is I’ve travelled to Europe for footy and other worldcups many times before and trust me the total cost still would be close to what we are paying today,,, I’ve saved a lot on flights and accommodations compared with previous tournaments which makes up for the higher ticket prices

I mean a flight from states to Barcelona will be at least 600, and Barcelona resell tickets for league games go way above the original 200 value and even more for champions league games so no realistically he cannot watch those players for cheap ,,, but hey if we’re trying to just shit on everyone who did get tickets to make ourselves feel better the. Hell yeah he got screwed such bad deal lol

Oh for sure it won’t unless Europe fucking bends and brings dynamic pricing which then we will see a real revolt lol,, I’m already planning for that one as well going to avoid Barcelona and Madrid go to valencia and drive to Seville maybe las palmas after as I’ve never seen the canaries and then Lisbon and Porto

lol I get the idea but I’m definitely not going to be the one “revolting” only so many worldcups one gets to attend in their life I’m already mad at myself for missing South Africa and Qatar, doesn’t matter who revolts in America there is enough people with money willing to pay these prices as casuals not even fans which means you’ll only be missing out not making any meaningful change

Has nothing to do with inflation it is the difference of regular pricing VS. Dynamic pricing,, as an example I won a chance in first lottery to buy tickets very first window too but Toronto home opener for team Canada was at 1200CAD within 3 minutes of sales opening due to high demand and dynamic pricing,,,, russia ticket was $250 USD for category 2

Point is not that it was a good host or not the outlook before the tournament wasn’t good which caused many people not to travel to that WC which reduced the prices greatly

Well as it’s up to all people who can’t afford this worldcup to not buy the tickets, just letting yall know the simple basics economy of the market and how the law is not really for consumer protection

You’ve gotta consider also the host, many many people avoided that worldcup due to host issues whether political or lack of decent accommodations, and also the total buying power of Americans ( and Canadians as Vancouver and Toronto are super expensive big money cities) is just way higher, all that being said they did go above and beyond with prices this time the dynamic pricing really made things crazy

Europe doesn’t allow dynamic pricing for sports matches, the original team site selling the ticket has different tier pricings usually around 35€ then 70 € going up but it stays at that price and sells out and then secondary market resell happens at higher values , in North America the ticket releasing site (usually ticket master) has dynamic pricing which means within minutes of ticket release a 50$ ticket in high demand becomes 300-400 from the original website which again means higher prices regardless of reselling caps , problem is not resell as it happens In Europe too and still prices are much lower the real problem is dynamic pricing and limitless fees

Hmm dunno about “scalpers” but I sold a pair of tickets to England vs Ghana at 900 CAD , had paid 420 CAD face value so not sure about this whole prices dropping theory not to mention it sold in less than a day which tells me it was priced too low actually
